You might find it hard to believe, but one of the most expensive Four Seasons hotels (and I might add, possibly the most amazing in terms of historic glamor) in the world is also one of the cheapest if you book in the low season. In this review, we investigate the cheapest Four Seasons hotels in the world, across Europe, Asia, North America, and beyond along with how and when to book to take advantage of discounts at this luxury hotel chain.
The Four Seasons brand of hotels doesn’t discount its rooms. But if you travel outside the high season, you may well be able to buy a packaged-up break with free nights. You will find these four for three and three-for-two-night deals on the offers page of each individual hotel on the Four Seasons website.
Equally, if you book on unpopular nights, such as weekends in cities, or Sunday nights at Four Seasons hotels which are convenient for weekend breaks, like the Four Seasons Hampshire, you can pick up the cheapest room rate.
There is no Four Seasons rewards program, but if you are a regular guest of the Four Seasons or even want to try this iconic brand for the first time, you can take advantage of loyalty style benefits at Four Seasons hotels for no extra cost by booking your next stay via our luxury travel concierge.
See what our clients say about us and how thrilled they are with the extra benefits we provide at no extra cost. We offer free upgrades, free breakfasts, and free perks at hotels, including the Four Seasons, Marriott, Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton, InterContinental, and more.
Here is my pick of the least expensive Four Seasons hotels in the world. It is not a definitive list, as rates change all the time, and new Four Seasons hotels are popping up everywhere, but I hope my choices will inspire you to fly away. These luxury hotels are affordable at certain times of the year. You just need to know how to play the game!
1. Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat
I kid you not. The Four Seasons resort in question is The Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat. This is undoubtedly one of our favorite hotels in the world. It is immaculate and perfect in every way, and if I were a billionaire, I would spend a whole month of every summer in one of their beautiful suites with its own private pool (pictured above!).
Even the standard rooms are fantastic here, with views over pine trees or across to the deep blue Mediterranean. The gardens are stunning. There is not a leaf out of place; the views are magnificent; the pool is enormous; the entire resort is almost unbelievably perfect.
So how is this Four Seasons so cheap? Well, the Cote D’Azur is completely seasonal. In fact, this hotel closes in the winter. The key is to stay just before it closes or just after it opens. You can snag a room here for the super low price of €600 EUR per night at the start of November and at the end of March. The same rooms come in at is €2500 EUR or moe in July and August. In the July and August peak season, these actually rooms sell out!
This hotel is undoubtedly one of the best Four Seasons in the world. It is perfection in the balmy summer with high prices to match, but in the cooler spring and autumn, it has some of the best deals of any Four Seasons hotel around the world while still being a fantastic place to stay.
Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat is not the lowest-cost Four Seasons hotel in the world. Still, for me, it offers by best value as it is brilliant any time of the year.. and if you bear with my mad calculation below, it is bordering on the best value in the world…
My mad calculation
Unlike many Four Seasons hotels, this one is ideal for a short break. You can fly to the Four Seasons from London in less than two hours with a very short airport transfer, which means staying for just one night is possible.
If you were planning to spend $100 USD on food and drink or in the spa at Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat anyway, and you only stay for one night, you are effectively getting around €90 EUR discount off the nightly rate as you would have spent this money anyway. You could argue that the rate you are paying is €650 EUR – €88 EUR, so less than €600 EUR in total for the night, including a welcome gift and breakfast. In the low season, you can be almost certain of your free room upgrade too.
Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat can be one of the most expensive Four Seasons resorts in the world in season, as well as being one of the cheapest at the very start and end of the season, making it the perfect weekend break destination and a brilliant deal.
2. Four Seasons Marrakech
The Four Seasons Marrakech is undoubtedly one of the best bargains in the world when booking into Four Seasons hotels. This sunny destination is just a short flight from anywhere in Europe, and Marrakech< makes an exotic destination for a weekend break... or longer! This property is packed with pools and palm trees. They call it a garden sanctuary in the heart of the red city, and it is rather special as well as being awfully convenient for the airport. You want to book your flight to this Four Seasons hotel in July or August for the best possible deal. In July and August, when it's pretty hot, this hotel only costs around €600 EUR per night for a garden-view terrace room, which will be upgraded to a premier garden-view terrace room (subject to availability) on check-in if you book via our concierge. You will also get free breakfast, resort credit, and a VIP gift. All are included for the same price as the hotel’s website.
Other luxury hotels in the area include the Mandarin Oriental, which is very, very good and very, very expensive! The Royal Mansour is another good choice, but the expansive layout of the Four Seasons with its 40 acres of gardens, its stunning balconies facing the Atlas mountains, and its welcoming nature towards families, with a kids club and a young adult center, makes it a brilliant choice in this region.
3. Four Seasons Hampshire
The Four Seasons Hampshire is located in the heart of the English countryside, but it is not far from London, making it convenient for a weekend break. Consider booking a stay here on a three for two deal or a Sunday night when nights are often cheaper (bear in mind, these kinds of deals are only available in the low season).
Saturday nights and a half terms tend to get terribly booked up and expensive because it is one of the few English country hotels that welcome children (it has a great pool, kids pool, playground, and an awesome kids club). For the best deal, book on a Sunday night and take advantage of all our Four Seasons concierge benefits for the night.
Currently, Four Seasons Hampshire is offering three nights for the price of 2 rates which means that if you book the full three nights, rates are coming in at £500 GBP for a Sunday night in the winter.
4. Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg
Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Johannesburg is an amazing property that we reviewed a few years ago. Despite being in the middle of South Africa’s largest city, the Westcliff Hotel sits high up on the rocky Witwatersrand. It feels like a chic hillside village, with nine sun-splashed villas woven with courtyards, fountains, and gardens. The Willy Wonka-style glass elevator will transport you to the restaurant for dinner and drinks with a view. Below, the endless canopy of jacaranda trees will capture your imagination.
And the price? The room rate at this hotel is pretty consistent throughout the year, but they sometimes offer a discounted four nights for the price of three deals which is a bargain at any time of the year for the best hotel in Johannesburg. Stay in the spring, and the hotel seems to float in a sea of purple as the jacaranda trees blossom.
5. Four Seasons Dubai Resort Jumeirah Beach
Relax on the beach and dine at the charming oceanfront restaurants of Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach. This property is fantastic and one of the best hotels to stay in, in Dubai. Two hundred thirty-seven ultra-spacious guest rooms, including 49 suites, showcase stylish Arabic designs creating an atmosphere of light and airy luxury, ten restaurants and bars, and one of the city’s most lavish spas, along with three swimming pools and fun family activities.
Travel to Dubai in the winter, and the weather is glorious and sunny. Go there in the summer, and it is unbearably hot! But this means the rates drop through the floor. Unbeatable? Probably, if you can handle the heat!
5. Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre
This one is not a resort hotel. This city hotel is located in the prestigious Dubai International Finance Centre. This means the hotel is a business-oriented hotel filled with art. It is also comparatively small by Four Seasons standards, with just 106 rooms, including 28 suites. Try out the spa, fitness center, and rooftop pool to help you stay at the top of your game, along with five options for dining, drinks, and meetings. Usefully, this hotel is walkable from some of the city’s hottest restaurants and galleries and just five minutes from the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, making it ideal for a weekend break. This August this hotel is cheaper.
6. Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur
The best value Four Seasons Hotel in Asia is probably Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur probably has my favorite Four Seasons Club Lounge in the world with an open-air deck! This amazing property costs usually comes in quite cheap due to the lower staffing and land costs in Kuala Lumpur when compared to London and New York. Just read our review of the Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur to find out how good this Four Seasons hotel is!
7. Four Seasons Langkawi
If you are looking for that escape, that paradise experience, to leave behind all the pressures of modern life, Four Seasons Langkawi is the perfect place. There is magic here. It seeps in gently, and then, after a few days, you just forget the world.
Langkawi is a tropical island paradise in Northern Malaysia, with white sandy beaches, dense jungle, fascinating wildlife, and delicious food. As Southeast Asia’s first UNESCO Geopark, the geology and ecology are guaranteed to astound. Langkawi is actually an archipelago of 100 islands, 30 km offshore in the Andaman Sea. The majority of travelers will stay on the large Langkawi Island, where most of the area’s 750 hotels are located.
The Four Seasons is located on the island’s quieter northern side, along a mile-long sandy beach in beautifully landscaped gardens. The resort feels secluded, yet the airport is only 25 minutes away, and the hotel is a short boat ride from Klim Karst conservation area, where you can spot macaque monkeys, sea otters, and the unique walking mudskipper fish.
Perhaps I’ve sold you on the place, but how about the price? The best deal for this gorgeous beach resort are their third-night free deals, and it’s worth every penny.
8. Best Value Four Seasons On American Soil?
Many of the Four Seasons in America are seasonal. Book for New Year’s Eve at the Four Seasons New York Downtown and the price will be ridiculous. Travel a few days later, and the rates will cost much less.
Locations of Four Seasons hotels in the Americas include Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Buenos Aires Carmelo, Uruguay, Chicago, Costa Rica, Dallas at Las Colinas, Denver, Hawaiʻi (Hualalai), Hawaiʻi (Lānaʻi at Mānele Bay), Hawaiʻi (Lānaʻi, Lodge at Kōʻele), Hawaiʻi (Maui), Houston Los Angeles (Beverly Wilshire), Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington D.C. Canadian Four Seasons hotels include Four Seasons Whistler for ski, Vancouver and Toronto.
Two pretty cheap American hotels include Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North with dreamy views of the high Sonoran Desert, an award-winning Spa, priority golf privileges at Troon North, tennis, hiking, and horseback riding. Rates here are cheap if you book in the summer.
Four Seasons Vegas is even more of a steal in the hot August heat. Look at the famous glittering lights below and at the serene Mojave Desert beyond. This non-gaming oasis of Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas offers a Five Star Spa and an award-winning steakhouse. It is probably the lowest-cost Four Seasons hotel in America.
9. Four Seasons Hawaii?
There are four Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii. We have already outlined the best luxury hotels in Hawaii. Clue: the best hotels are the Four Seasons hotels. I think the Four Seasons Lanai is the most other-worldly resort with a breathtaking and deserted beach.
The other top pick is Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Big Island. With open-air showers, turtles on the beach, and a pool full of fish to swim in… what’s not to like!
I put the Four Seasons Maui in at number three. There is so much to do in the resort area of Wailea; it is an exciting place to stay.
Finally, I rate Four Seasons Resort Oahu At Ka Olina, Oahu in the cheapest spot. This is awfully convenient for Honolulu airport and also for shopping in Waikiki, which is a drive away. In our opinion, this is the best luxury hotel on the island of Oahu, closely followed by the Halekulani on Waikiki Beach, which is also on Oahu and is the sixth-best luxury hotel in Hawaii. That said, the building itself is quite ugly, hence its position as number four.
And the lowest rate? Four Seasons Maui offers rates from around $800 USD per night for a mountain view in July and August, which will be upgraded to a Garden View (subject to availability at check-in) if booked with our travel concierge. Four Seasons Resort Oahu, tends to be a smidge cheaper and represent a great deal for this caliber of hotel on the Hawaiian Islands.
The trick in Hawaii is to book in advance so that the base rooms are still available. If you leave it to the last minute, you may be left having to book the ocean view rooms, which can be a lot more expensive. Also, look out for offers on each property’s homepage and then book through our luxury concierge to get the benefits outlined above.
Promo Code On The Four Seasons Website
There is a box on the Four Seasons website that says promo code. This may be related to senior, government, military, friends and family, residence club, or hotel staff rates, but I have yet to find any promo code that works for usual guests at the Four Seasons.
The only way to find quick-fix discounts and special offers at each Four Seasons hotel is in the offers section on each hotel page. You can then get all the benefits outlined above in addition to these special offers and promo codes by booking your stay with our luxury travel concierge. This will get you the best deal possible, plus our direct contact with each hotel’s staff will ensure VIP treatment throughout your stay.
And what is the most Expensive Four Seasons Hotel?
It has to be the exclusive Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah, which will set you back around $50,000 USD per night. It sleeps up to 14, so split the price between you, and that’s only $3.5k USD per night, plus you get your own private yacht.
