1. General Terms & Conditions
By using and / or visiting www.luxurytraveldiary.com (our ‘website’, ‘site’, ‘luxurytraveldiary’, ‘luxurytraveldiary.com’), a service of Luxury Travel Diary Limited (‘Luxury Travel Diary’, ‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’), you (‘your’, ‘yourself’, ‘visitor’, ‘user’, ‘bidder’, ‘winner’, ‘customer’, ‘guest’), are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions (‘Terms of Use’), and the terms and conditions of Luxury Travel Diary’s privacy policy incorporated herein by reference. We also host proprietary online auctions (‘Luxury Travel Diary Auctions’, ‘auctions’, ‘auction’) and a concierge service (‘Luxury Travel Diary Concierge Service’, ‘Luxury Travel Diary Concierge’). From time to time, Luxury Travel Diary may expand the range of services available on our website.
Usage
Luxury Travel Diary is not liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, resulting from the use of our website.

We may request a medical certificate and reserve the right to cancel a booking if we cannot accommodate specific needs.
Your Behaviour & That Of Your Travel Party
We expect all guests to behave respectfully during stays booked via our Concierge service or won via our auctions. Disruptive, dangerous, or damaging behaviour may result in immediate termination of services without refund. You will be responsible for any damage or costs caused by your party.
We are not responsible for the actions of third parties unrelated to your booking.
Limitation Of Liabilities
Use of this website is at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss resulting from your use or inability to use the site or services. This includes but is not limited to connection issues, technical faults, or software failures. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury due to our negligence.
We are not liable for errors or delays in concierge communications or auction bidding caused by technical issues or internet outages. Online bidding is a complimentary service, and we make no guarantee of access or execution.
Luxury Travel Diary acts solely as an intermediary for both auctions and concierge services. Once an auction item or booking has been fulfilled (e.g., voucher issued, provider details sent), our obligation is complete. We are not responsible for the quality, delivery, or fulfilment of any prize or service thereafter.
We make no warranty as to the performance or suitability of third-party providers and accept no liability for service quality, delivery standards, or failure to meet individual requirements.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Luxury Travel Diary against all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the site or breach of these terms.
We are not liable for any harm, injury, or loss (including but not limited to illness, disability, or death) arising from participation in an auction or concierge-booked stay, including hotel, villa, cruise, airline, or restaurant experiences. Guests undertake all travel and services at their own risk.
Luxury Travel Diary does not guarantee availability, satisfaction, or suitability of any service and disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue to apply. A failure by us to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that or any other right.
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
2. Auctions Terms & Conditions
Luxury Travel Online Auctions are public sales in which goods or property are sold to the highest bidder, wholly run and administered by Luxury Travel Diary Limited.
These Auction Terms and Conditions, together with our General Terms and Privacy Policy, apply to all bidding on goods or property sold through our auctions. If you do not agree to any of these terms, please refrain from using Luxury Travel Diary’s Online Auctions.
You must be 18 years or over to participate. All auctions are sold as listed. All sales are final.
Item values, descriptions, and individual terms are provided by auction providers. We do not guarantee factual accuracy, availability, or correctness of item information. Always consult the provider’s website and the auction listing for full details before bidding.
Please note that from time to time, Luxury Travel Diary may feature auction items in editorial content on our website or social media. These mentions reflect personal opinion or supplier-provided information and are intended for general interest only. They do not constitute a guarantee of the quality or suitability of any prize or experience.
By bidding on or purchasing an auction item based on such editorial content, you acknowledge that you do so entirely at your own risk. Luxury Travel Diary accepts no liability for dissatisfaction, inconvenience, or loss resulting from such decisions.
Bidding is in Pounds Sterling (GBP). Currency conversions displayed on the site are estimates only and may not reflect actual charges. The final amount due will always be in GBP.
Unless stated otherwise, auction items are transferable but not for resale. Resale renders the item void. We reserve the right to cancel use of any auction item if resale is suspected.
Some items have a reserve price (a minimum acceptable bid). If the final bid does not meet this reserve, the item will not be sold.
Luxury Travel Diary’s auction records are final and binding in all disputes. If discrepancies arise between bidder-facing records and internal records, our internal record will prevail.
We may, at our discretion and without notice, withdraw any lot, extend bidding durations, restart auctions, or reject any bid or registration. This includes restarting an auction in the event of a technical failure.
You are responsible for any local taxes, service charges, or delivery fees associated with your auction item unless otherwise stated.
All bids are final and contractually binding. Bidding signifies agreement to our terms and the item’s listed conditions. Once placed, bids cannot be amended or revoked.
The highest bid at the close of an auction constitutes the winning bid. A contract is formed at that point. The winning bidder will receive an email confirmation. We are not responsible for notifying any other participants.
Payment must be made via PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. Failure to pay may result in re-listing of the item and forfeiture of your win.
Refunds are discretionary and issued only when appropriate. Any refund will be in GBP only. Currency fluctuations and bank fees are not refundable.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.
If a winner cannot use their prize for valid reasons and informs us within 30 days, we may (at our discretion) re-auction the prize. If resold, the original winner may receive auction credit minus a minimum 10% admin fee.
3. Concierge Terms & Conditions
Luxury Travel Diary Concierge is a luxury travel advisory and booking service wholly owned by Luxury Travel Diary Limited.
These terms apply to all bookings made via the Luxury Travel Diary Concierge service, together with our General Terms and Privacy Policy.
Your Contract
Luxury Travel Diary Concierge acts as a booking agent for the hotel(s) and cruise(s) we book on your behalf. Your booking contract is directly with the hotel or cruise line. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions. Their terms and conditions will apply in addition to ours.
Booking Payments
We will send you a final itinerary and secure payment link once you approve the quote. It is your responsibility to double-check all booking details (e.g. names, dates, room type, rates) before payment.
We accept no responsibility for errors or omissions in bookings. You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your information before payment. Payments are processed securely via third-party providers. We never store credit card data.
We strongly advise using our secure ADX TravelEdge payment system. If you provide payment details via email or other unencrypted channels, we cannot accept responsibility for data security.
Any deposits or additional charges will be clearly indicated and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
Your booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation. If you do not receive confirmation within 48 hours, please contact us.
All currency conversions are estimates only. Final charges are made in the hotel/cruise provider’s local currency and may vary based on exchange rates or bank fees.
Amendments & Cancellations
To modify or cancel a booking, you must contact us. Changes and cancellations are subject to the provider’s policies and timelines. Cancellation charges may apply depending on how close to arrival the cancellation occurs. Refunds will match the original payment method.
Additional nights booked in sequence will be treated as amendments to the original booking and subject to the same terms.
Provider Changes & Cancellations
If the hotel or cruise line changes or cancels your booking, we will inform you and act as liaison. We are not responsible for any resulting inconvenience or cost.
Accuracy of Prices & Descriptions
We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee the correctness of third-party information or booking system outputs. Prices may change, and errors can occur. Please verify all details before confirming.
Independent Reviews & Recommendations
Luxury Travel Diary produces independent editorial content, including reviews, rankings, and features. These are based on personal experiences, third-party information, or supplier-provided materials. While we aim for accuracy, opinions and impressions are subjective and may not reflect your own experience.
By choosing to book a stay or service based on any content published on our website, you do so entirely at your own discretion and risk. Luxury Travel Diary accepts no liability or responsibility for any dissatisfaction, inconvenience, or loss arising from reliance on our reviews, rankings, editorial features, or recommendations.
Our Responsibility
Your contract is with the hotel or cruise provider. Our responsibility is limited to placing the booking as instructed. Any liability is limited to twice the commission we earned on your booking. We accept no responsibility for third-party actions or service quality.

Exclusive Concierge Offers
Special offers are subject to availability and the provider’s terms. They may require deposits or prepayment and may not be combined with other promotions. Offers may change or be withdrawn without notice. They apply only to new bookings.
Vouchers
Vouchers issued by us or our partners have no cash value, are non-transferable, and expire as indicated. Expired vouchers are void.
Complaints
Complaints should be directed to the provider during your stay. If unresolved, we can liaise on your behalf as a courtesy only, not as a liable party.
Visa, Passport & Health
You are responsible for ensuring you meet entry, visa, and health requirements for your destination. Check with official sources before departure.
Booking Responsibilities
By booking, the lead guest agrees that:
- They have read and accepted these terms
- They are over 18 and authorised to book on behalf of all guests
- They accept responsibility for full payment
- They consent to our use of data in line with our Privacy Policy
Special Requests
We will pass special requests (e.g. dietary needs) to providers but cannot guarantee fulfilment.
Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory. It must cover cancellations, medical emergencies, repatriation, and related risks. We accept no liability for losses that would otherwise be covered by insurance.
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Price & Information Accuracy
We aim for accurate content, but errors may occur. Prices, offers, and details may change without notice. Confirm all details before booking.
Accommodation Ratings
All ratings are provided by the property or cruise line and may differ from official ratings or guest expectations. We cannot guarantee their accuracy.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for events outside our control including (but not limited to) war, pandemic, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, natural disaster, or governmental action.
Supplier Terms
Third-party suppliers operate under their own terms and may limit their liability. These terms form part of your contract. Copies are available on request.
Exclusive Benefits & Perks
Concierge perks are subject to availability and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. They cannot be combined with other offers unless specified and apply only to new bookings.
Changes To These Terms
We may update our terms, policies, or site at any time. Continued use implies agreement with current terms. If any clause is deemed unenforceable, the remainder will continue to apply.
