Termination Dates: The Death Of The British Airways Boeing 767

Book A Hotel

Love it or loathe it, this ageing plane has been on the British Airways flight schedule for far too long. The positive feature of the cabin on the BA Boeing 767 is the space. In terms of both legroom and the generous aisle, the space beats the newer more densified BA cabins. The downside is that the plane feels dated, old, and in my opinion dirty (granted, I last flew a BA 767 before the more recent BA deep clean of their short-haul fleet).

So what was a flight on her like? Have a read of my economy and business class reviews from my flight back from Nice last year and see what you think.

In this trip report, I review British Airways B767 in Business Class, Nice to London Heathrow. Usually, when we fly between Nice and London, be it on the Gatwick or the Heathrow route, we fly in British Airways Business Class on the A231, which I have reviewed. Sometimes, British Airways also flies a larger, aging Boeing 767 built in 1994 on this route, and we flew on this on our return trip from a trip to Nice. On this flight, we were traveling in Club Europe in a cabin right at the front of the plane. The cabin was split into a Club Europe cabin at the front and an Economy cabin behind.

In this trip report, I review British Airways B767 in Economy, Nice to London Heathrow. Usually, when we fly between Nice and London on the Gatwick or the Heathrow route, we fly in British Airways Business Class on the A231, which I have reviewed. It was, therefore, a surprise when we boarded a Boeing 767, built-in 1994, for our return trip from a rather rainy April break in Monaco. You can find out what Economy (or Coach) is like on other planes in our other British Airways Economy Class flight reviews. On this trip, I was running low on Avios and booked into the Economy cabin.

The last 767 flight, or termination date, appears to be on the London Heathrow to Amsterdam run on 6th November.

I am thrilled. Taking this rickety old plane out of service means that I will never have to fly on her again!
