This hotel starts at a cheap $297 USD per room per night. If you are looking for something more luxurious, we reccomend the best Four Seasons in San Francisco.

3. JW Marriott Anaheim Resort

JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort is probably the best luxury Marriott hotel by Disneyland Resort. It is just 9 minutes drive from Disneyland (or 18 minutes walk). It is a new hotel which opened in June 2020.

While you will get luxury here, the number one Marriott choice for the kids is the cheaper Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance. I prefer to avoid Courtyard Marriott hotels as they are not luxurious, but the water park, the fun decor, and well-designed rooms with bunk beds for families make this Courtyard even better value for money.

I would always pick the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort for adults traveling as a couple and looking for luxury. The JW Marriott is more swish but less convenient.

The hotel is near Disneyland® Resort, Anaheim GardenWalk, and other popular attractions. Facilities include the JW Garden, yoga and Zen room, expansive fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Ascend to the rooftop bar and lounge to enjoy stunning views of the nightly fireworks show. Additionally, an eclectic lobby bar, quick-service market café, and JW Marriott Signature Restaurant provide an array of all-day dining options and locally inspired dishes.

The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage is a stunning desert resort that overlooks Palm Springs, Coachella Valley, and the San Jacinto Mountain Range. This Ritz-Carlton is the ideal destination to grab some rays of sunshine over the winter, but it is remarkably cheap for this high-end Marriott brand in the summer.

The stunning valley views at The Edge Steakhouse and holistic spa rituals inspired by the land bind guests to the desert ambiance, and this desert luxury is delivered in an elegant setting. The exclusive club lounge at the Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage, is the best club lounge in Palm Springs.

Bear in mind that this Ritz-Carlton will likely be cheaper in July than in the winter because this desert location is scorching in July. In the winter, The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage, will not be as cheap as it will be packed with guests looking for Palm Springs sunshine and warmth. In the summer, it can be stiflingly hot in Palm Springs.

6. Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa

7. JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE

We have compared Ritz-Carlton Vs. JW Marriott Los Angeles because they are both in the same L.A. LIVE building. I’m sorry to say that the Ritz-Carlton comes out on top and is the best option in most aspects, but the JW Marriott L.A. LIVE is cheaper.

The JW Marriott lobby is two levels in height and a rooftop pool and bar on the 4th floor. The rooms at JW Marriott Los Angeles are of decent size and are on the 4th and 21st floors of the tower. They are not as special as those at the Ritz but some of these rooms also have access to a club lounge, this time the JW Marriott club lounge, which is one of the best club lounges in Los Angeles.

Rates here in July start at $412 USD per room per night.

8. The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco

The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco< is one of the best luxury hotels in San Francisco set within a 1909 Neoclassical landmark building in the prestigious Nob Hill neighborhood right next door to Union Square. As a general rule when considering Ritz-Carlton Vs. JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton hotels come out on top and this Ritz-Carlton hotel is excellent.

From savoring Coastal California cuisine and handcrafted cocktails inspired by the city’s neighborhoods in The Lounge to relaxing on the private club level with city views, to hopping on the cable car right outside the doors to explore sites like Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square, every moment will leave your heart in San Francisco.

Club rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, feature access to one of the best club lounges in San Francisco

Pricing varies, but in July, rates start at around a very reasonable $491 USD per night. This is the cheapest Ritz-Carlton in our listing in the winter, but in the summer, The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage comes in cheaper because the desert becomes less appealing when it’s super hot.

9. Pier South Resort, Autograph Collection by Marriott

Pier South Resort, Autograph Collection by Marriott, is a newly renovated beachfront resort in San Diego that is within walking distance from Imperial Beach Pier and short drives from attractions such as San Diego Zoo, Coronado Beach, and Petco Park.

This hotel sits right on the sand and offers a D’ames Spa, a fitness center, and SEA180° Coastal Tavern. It is the ideal place to take in the sunshine with walks on the beach and paddles in the surf.

Rooms here boast private balconies, complimentary Wi-Fi, and laid-back, classic SoCal vibes and rates at this oceanfront hotel, which is also listed in our best Marriott beach hotels in California, come in at $553 USD per night in July.

10. The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara

The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara is a multitude of whitewashed buildings swarming up the side of a sandy hillock on the most perfect beach you can imagine.

Clearly, this is not one of the cheapest Marriott hotels in California, but it is one of the best Marriott subsidiary beach hotels in California and should be added to our list as it is a brilliant hotel. If you and your family are looking for a beach hotel to stay it, this one is really wonderful and will blow you away. If it is not cheap enough, consider a shorter stay here as you can pack a heck of a lot of fun into just one or two nights at a place like this, rather than marking time at one of the cheaper Marriott hotels above.

Tucked onto 78 acres overlooking the Pacific, The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara combines this coastal city’s appeal with the beauty of its natural surroundings. Here, you can escape to the tranquility of two beaches, three infinity-edge pools, and a 42,000 ft² spa. You can relax in spacious suites, or you can indulge in the region’s abundance of locally sourced cuisine.

Pricing varies, but in July, standard rooms start at around $694 USD per night. We think that, for a hotel with such a lovely beachside location, this is a great deal.
