Book A Hotel

What are the best Marriott hotels near Disneyland, Anaheim, California? The Marriott brand includes Luxury Collection, EDITION, St Regis, W Hotels, and JW Marriott, as well as mid-range brands like Autograph Collection, Renaissance, Sheraton, Le Meridien, Design Hotels, and Westin.

Marriott has a number of hotels in the Anaheim area, including Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance, which is across the street from Disneyland, which may well be the most convenient for the park but which is not the most luxurious. The JW Marriott is probably the best hotel for luxury but is less convenient. The Anaheim Marriott is less than half a mile from the theme park and is cheaper, but you have to take the public bus between the park and the Anaheim Marriott. There’s also the Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Resort/Convention Center, which is convenient for conventions and Disneyland.

Disneyland Resort’s own accommodations include Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Disneyland Hotel, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.

1. Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is minutes from DISNEYLAND® Park, DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE® Park and the DOWNTOWN DISNEY® District. Arrive in style at this Marriott Rewards Category 7 DISNEYLAND® Resort Good Neighbor Hotel and relax in spacious rooms with twin bunk beds, dinette-style seating, free Wi-Fi, and flat-panel Smart TVs.

The rooms have Kuerig machines, microwaves, mini-fridges, and Netflix and are stylish with stripy bedding and carpeting, wave designs on the walls, and comfortable mattresses. Large bathrooms have dual-sink lighted vanities, a bathtub (with shower), and an additional standalone shower, ideal for families. Parking is valet only and $24 USD per night, plus tax.

Savor Starbucks® coffee and breakfast in the mornings at The Bistro, the on-site restaurant, then return for lunch or in the evenings for dinner and cocktails. Grab snacks, drinks, beer, and wine at The Market and hotel gift shop. Make memories at Surfside Waterpark and finish your nights with views of the world-famous DISNEYLAND® Park fireworks from the outdoor terrace and fire pit.

It is worth mentioning that the waterpark here is excellent but is not a full-on waterpark. It is great but is basically a freeform hotel pool with several very cool waterslides. Great for the kids but not a complete water park, just to manage expectations. it remains the best non-Disney pool for kids.

This hotel is one of the more expensive non-Disney Marriott hotels in Anaheim. Rates start around $200 USD per night, which is close to the cost of the Disney hotels.

2. JW Marriott Anaheim Resort

JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort may well be the best luxury hotel near, but not actually in, Disneyland Resort. It is just 9 minutes drive from Disneyland (or 18 minutes walk). It is a brand new hotel and will open in June 2020.

While you will get luxury here, the number one choice for the kids is, without a doubt, the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance. I am not a major fan of Courtyard Marriott hotels, but the water park and the fun decor and well-designed rooms with bunk beds for families make the Courtyard a better choice.

I would always pick the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort for adults traveling as a couple, which is more swish if less convenient.

This Rewards Category 7 Marriott Bonvoy hotel is located in Anaheim Resort in Orange County. The hotel is near Disneyland® Resort, Anaheim GardenWalk, and other popular attractions. Facilities include the JW Garden, yoga and Zen room, expansive fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Ascend to the rooftop bar and lounge to enjoy stunning views of the nightly fireworks show. Additionally, an eclectic lobby bar, quick-service market café, and JW Marriott Signature Restaurant provide an array of all-day dining options and locally inspired dishes.

Book a concierge level room, and you will have access to the JW Marriott executive club lounge, which is expected to be open 7 days a week. Although there are no reviews of this lounge yet, expect a grand buffet breakfast with hot and cold options and evening appetizers, and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks.

3. The Westin Anaheim Resort

The Westin Anaheim Resort is a new Marriott Bonvoy hotel which is due to open in October 2020 and will also be a Marriott Rewards Category 7 hotel, so expect the caliber of decor, rooms, and communal areas to be excellent here.

They say: “The Westin Anaheim Resort is a AAA Four-Diamond property across from Disneyland® Resort. These beautifully designed hotel accommodations offer signature amenities and Westin Heavenly® Beds.

Delight your palate with diverse dining options, including a steakhouse, Mexican restaurant, and rooftop bar with amazing panoramic views of Disney’s fireworks. Situated in the heart of the Anaheim Resort District, this hotel sits amid celebrated Southern California attractions, including Angel Stadium of Anaheim, the Honda Center, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach.

Punctuate a memorable day in Orange County with a swim in the outdoor pool or exhilarate your body in the Westin WORKOUT® fitness studio featuring Peloton bikes. Elevate your experience in Southern California with a revitalizing stay at The Westin Anaheim Resort.”

We expect there to be a club lounge at this Westin in Anaheim near Disney.

4. Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim

Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim is a Rewards Category 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel. The hotel is less than 1 mile from Disney California Adventure and Disneyland, which takes around 12 minutes on foot. It is actually the 3rd closest to the parks of any Marriott hotel.

The problem is that if you are when walking to Disneyland, you have to cross the I-5 freeway with ramps, which can be a pain if you are visiting with kids and pushchairs. The hotel is just across the I-5 freeway.

The Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim has a chic pool, restaurant, and bar areas, making it great for couples in particular. The downside of the hotel is that many rooms face the freeway, which can be noisy when you are trying to sleep. Poolside rooms afford great views of Disney’s nightly fireworks show.

Rooms are stocked with all of the essentials, including flat-screen TVs and mini-refrigerators, and there’s a fitness center in the hotel.

5. Anaheim Marriott

The Anaheim Marriott is a Rewards Category 5 Marriott Bonvoy 4-star hotel adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center. This hotel is within walking distance of the House of Blues and Disneyland Resort. It’s also minutes from the Honda Center and a short 28-mile drive from Los Angeles.

This conference hotel does not offer much for the family and is much more suited to business travelers. It was built in the 1980s and has been recently renovated. It has two towers, one with the executive lounge in it, located on the 18th-floor. The lounge is pleasant enough but is quite small. The food is decent for a club lounge with breakfast each morning and hors d’oeuvres and dessert in the evenings. There is also bottled water, sodas, and snacks throughout the day, but you have to pay for alcoholic drinks. This executive club lounge is closed at weekends. Gold status in Marriott Bonvoy will get you concierge-level access.

Concierge-level guest rooms, like the rest of the rooms in the hotel, offer balconies as well as access to the Concierge Lounge and an evening turndown service. The rooms are bright and airy. Rooms to one side of this hotel offer views of the city and distant views to the Angels Stadium. On the other side, you face the Disneyland Resort and the nightly fireworks.

The easiest way to get to Disneyland from this hotel is by public transport. There is no free shuttle transportation from the Marriott to the parks.

There’s also a sparkling outdoor pool and fully-equipped fitness center at the hotel, along with a hotel restaurant and bar.

6. Sheraton Park Hotel at Anaheim Resort

Sheraton Park Hotel at Anaheim Resort is a Rewards Category 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel steps away from the iconic Disneyland Resort parks; Anaheim GardenWalk, Angel Stadium and the Anaheim Convention Center.

The hotel grounds are quite beautiful and large, much larger, and greener than the grounds of most of the other hotels in this area. Pet-friendly rooms and suites are rather average but feature Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience and private balconies overlooking the city. There are several on-site restaurants, including a lounge by the resort-style pool, which has a patio with fire pits and a gym.

The Club lounge is good, fairly average, but with a filling breakfast and evening light bites. Breakfast includes cut fruit, whole fruit, bread, boiled eggs, pastries, juice, tea, and coffee bread, spreads, cereal, yogurts. There are no hot dishes (bacon, sausage, eggs).

Club lounge snacks during the day are fruit and snack bars as well as free drinks. Evening hors d’oeuvres include mini hamburgers, fried bits, veggies, cut fruit, crisps, and dips (salsa and sour cream), as well as cookies and cakes.

7. Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Resort/Convention Center

Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Resort/Convention Center is a Rewards Category 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel, convenient for conventions and Disneyland.

It is, in fact, the premier and largest Marriott all suites full-service hotel located just one mile from the Disneyland Resort attractions and the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Marriott Suites features 371 spacious two-room suites, a contemporary lobby, and 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space catering to a variety of social events, meetings, and weddings. Enjoy each suite designed with a living room and a separate bedroom area.

Each suite comes with a large, well-lit desk, wireless, and high-speed Internet access, voice messaging, two remote-controlled televisions, iron & ironing board, coffee/tea maker, mini-refrigerator, room service, dry cleaning service, and laundry facilities.

Guests can work out on state-of-the-art exercise equipment, relax in the outdoor pool and whirlpool. Dine in SunSpot, an American Restaurant, or indulge in the simple luxuries of our very own Starbucks, just off the Lobby.

8. Fairfield by Marriott Anaheim Resort

Fairfield by Marriott Anaheim Resort is the second closest Marriott to Disneyland and is a Rewards Category 5 hotel.

As a Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel, theme park tickets are sold at the Front Desk. The Disneyland Resort theme parks are just a 7-minute walk from the hotel. Retire to your Disney-inspired guest room with plush bedding, Smart TV with streaming options, premium channels, and free high-speed Wi-Fi.

Stay fit in the fitness center, or take a dip in the heated outdoor pool and whirlpool. Stop by the 3rd-floor food outlet for all-day dining, order Panera Bread room delivery, or play arcade games in the family game room.

The problem with this hotel is that rooms are compact (although recently refurbished), and the outdoor pool is a generic rectangle, akin to a motel so although this hotel is extremely convenient for the parks, there is no wow factor encouraging Marriott Bonvoy members to stay here. If you want to be near the parks and the price is right, then it is a solid choice, but don’t expect anything special.

9. Element Anaheim Resort Convention Center

Opening in September 2020 is another Marriott hotel within walking distance of the Disneyland parks. Element Anaheim Resort Convention Center is a Rewards Category 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel with spacious studio and one-bedroom suites with separate living and sleeping areas.

Their popular kid’s suites with bunk beds feature a second television. A fully equipped kitchen is ready for your favorite cuisine. There’s also a daily, free hot breakfast buffet which is unusual for hotels in Anaheim. There’s also Free Wi-Fi Internet for connecting to work or catching up with your social media.

Strengthen your body and soul in the 24-hour fitness center or swim in the outdoor pool and eat in the BBQ areas that provide a relaxing atmosphere.

10. Residence Inn by Marriott Anaheim

Residence Inn by Marriott Anaheim is a Rewards Category 6 Marriott hotel with spacious studio, one- and two-bedroom suites with separate living and sleeping areas.

Kids suites are brightly themed with bunk beds and feature a separate bathroom enhancing memorable “Suite” family time. A fully equipped kitchen is ready for your favorite cuisine.

Strengthen your body and soul in the 24-hour fitness center or swim in the outdoor rooftop pool with incredible views, a hot tub, cabanas, and a kid-friendly splash zone.
