Book A Hotel

Is there a Ritz-Carlton hotel in Rome? No, there’s no Ritz-Carlton in Rome, so you need to pick another brand. Four Seasons hotels tend to be the best in a city. But there’s no Four Seasons in Rome either.

In fact, there are currently no Ritz-Carlton hotels in Italy at all, although there is one slated to open on the shores of Lake Como. The best Ritz-Carlton hotels in Europe can be found in Berlin, Barcelona, Vienna and Budapest.

Our top pick as the best luxury hotel in the city is Bvlgari Hotel Roma, which is ultra-luxurious and easily the best Marriott hotel in Rome.

We visited the flagship Bulgari Milan late last year on a trip that also reviewed Four Seasons Milan and Pallazo. All three were brilliant, but the Bulgari stood out as having a brilliant atmosphere. We would therefore highly reccomend any Bulgari hotel.

Bvlgari Hotel Roma is an instantly iconic destination given Rome’s role as Bulgari’s hometown and an endless font of inspiration. The new property occupies an illustrious address at Piazza Augusto Imperatore in the heart of the Campo Marzio district.

Bulgari Hotel Roma is home to 114 Rooms and Suites decorated in a color palette inspired by the city, as well as Bulgari Hotels’ signature dining and lifestyle experiences, including Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, the Bulgari Bar, the Lobby Lounge, the spa, and Italy’s first Bulgari Dolci chocolatier and patisserie.

The spa here is fantastic, 1,000 m² in size, and includes one of the best hotel pools in Rome. If you travel as a family with kids or as a couple looking for a great spa and a swim, a hotel with a pool is a huge advantage.

Bvlgari Hotel Roma is not the cheapest Marriott in Rome. If you book via our luxury travel concierge, we can get you free breakfast, hotel credit, room upgrade (subject to availability), and more.

It may also be worth considering The Rome EDITION, which is another excellent luxury hotel in Rome that falls under the Marriott Bonvoy umbrella and a hotel where you can earn and burn Marriott Bonvoy points.

Built in the 1940s and formerly occupied by one of the main Italian banks, the building The Rome EDITION is housed in is a striking example of the rationalist style. Cesare Pascoletti created the design in collaboration with the famed architect Marcello Piacentini, the hotel’s chef partner.

The hotel has three unique bars, a rooftop lounge, bar and pool, a show-kitchen restaurant, a well-appointed urban wellness space with gym and treatment rooms, and a courtyard garden where guests can while away the time sipping their favorite drink or sample the peerless food menu from adored Roman Chef Paola Colucci.
