1. Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas

The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas is just 10 minutes drive from Hanalei beach on North Shore Kauai.

This side of the island, often likened to Jurassic Park, boasts lush slopes cascading down to sandy shorelines caressed by crashing waves. While undeniably stunning, this area is better suited for families than couples, as the powerful waves can pose a risk for young ones.

The sea spray-kissed shores and verdant greenery create an idyllic playground for golfers, surfers, and nature enthusiasts drawn to the jungle, waterfalls, and unique backdrop this region offers. Perched on the cliffside overlooking the Pacific, this vacation ownership resort is conveniently located near Anini Beach and a short drive from picturesque Hanalei Bay. Nearby attractions include The Wai’oli Mission and the magnificent 1,000-acre Limahuli Garden. After a day of exploration, guests can unwind and dine at the Princeville Bistro or the Nanea Bar & Grill.

Facilities at this Princeville beachfront resort include a 24-hour WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio and sparkling outdoor pools with ocean views.

Tropical villas at the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas feature furnished lanais, spacious living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchens, washers and dryers, sofa beds, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas is sold out for 16-20 July, but for 16-20 Sept, the price is $590 USD per room per night. This is usually one of the cheapest Marriott hotels on Kauai, and it is gorgeous, although remember that this hotel is located on the rainy side of the island, so there are often short bursts of rain here, and it can be quite humid.

2. Marriott’s Kaua’i Beach Club

Marriott’s Kaua’i Beach Club sits steps from Kalapaki Beach. This beautiful vacation ownership resort offers unforgettable oceanfront living in Lihue. Relax in premium guest rooms, parlors, and condo-style villa vacation rentals with signature resort amenities, a gourmet center for preparing meals, and ocean and garden views.

Refresh in the 26,000 ft² outdoor pool, soothe sore muscles in one of the whirlpool spas, or watch the kids frolic in the children’s pool. Work out in the fitness center and enjoy numerous family activities and recreation throughout Kauai, including scuba outings, surfing, and snorkeling. After a full day of Kauai sun, sand, and surf, pamper yourself at the tranquil day spa or indulge at one of the beachfront restaurants before retiring to your vacation rental.

This huge resort is on the beach and is cheap for Hawaii. The rates here start at $650 USD per rental per night.

3. Sheraton Kauai Resort

The Sheraton Kauai is our favourite Marriott resort hotel on Kauai. It’s nestled on the shores of Poipu Beach and is a beachfront resort offering guests access to the Garden Island’s charms—from spectacular beaches and lush rainforests to world-class golf courses.

The hotel features low-rise buildings, with a maximum of four storeys, offering oceanfront or garden-view rooms. The oceanfront rooms, situated on the hotel’s rocky peninsula, afford spectacular views, while a hidden golden sandy Poipu beach lies nestled between peninsulas.

The striking contrast between the black volcanic rocks and golden sands creates a beautiful scene, complemented by the ever-present sea breezes, ensuring the setting is consistently warm yet never overly hot.

Guests can enjoy magnificent views from the Ocean Pool while the on-site restaurant serves fresh Hawaiian fare amidst a tropical ambiance. RumFire Poipu Beach, the signature restaurant, offers spectacular sunset views, completing the enchanting experience.

This is such a great resort, and rooms start at $838 USD per room per night in July.

4. Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection

Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection is usually the most expensive Marriott subsidiary hotel on Kauai and is one of the best Marriotts on Kauai because of its large rooms and personalized service.

Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection is located on the sunny South Shore of Kauai near world-famous beaches and next door to some of the best dining & shopping on the island. For outdoor enthusiasts, Kauai’s South Shore is perfect for sunny beaches, hiking, surfing, golf, tennis, horseback riding, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

The resort boasts Poipu’s largest accommodations, from deluxe studios to multi-bedroom luxury villas. The property features three resort pools, including a 350,000-gallon main pool, a celebrity chef grill, a gourmet market, a full-service day spa, a 24-hour fitness center, a putting green, a volleyball court, a soccer field, complimentary morning yoga on the lawn, s’mores on select nights, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
