1. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana, Waikiki Beach

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana, Waikiki Beach is located on the edge of Waikiki, within a mile of Waikiki Beach, Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and the Ala Moana Center. Waikiki Aquarium, Royal Hawaiian Center. Downtown Honolulu is three miles away, and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is 15 minutes away.

On arrival, enjoy a pool with decking, ocean views, and a DoubleTree cookie. Sadly, this hotel is not on the beach. You must walk to get to the golden sands of Waikiki Beach.

Rates here are cheap for Hawaii at $315 USD per room per night in June but be aware the rooms here are currently a bit drab and are arguably in need of refubishment.

2. Hilton Waikiki Beach, Oahu

Nestled ideally in the heart of Waikiki, Hilton Waikiki Beach sits just a block away from the shimmering ocean. Set against the awe-inspiring silhouette of Leahi (Diamond Head), this contemporary Waikiki retreat offers an authentic Hawaiian immersion. Explore accommodations featuring stunning vistas, resort-style luxuries, and round-the-clock dining options to savor.

There’s a club lounge here, but it is not one of the best Hilton Club lounges, and it has no view and a fairly generic atmosphere.

While not directly on the beach, the pricing of its rooms reflects this. Rates here are cheap for Hawaii at $371 USD per room per night in June.

3. Hampton Inn & Suites Oahu/Kapolei

Hampton Inn & Suites Oahu/Kapolei is not suitable for the luxury traveler and this Hampton Suites is not even particularly cheap. Pick an alternative hotel in our listing above this hotel if you are looking for luxury and beach.

This hotel suits those who want easy access to the Ka Makana Ali’i Regional Shopping Center, the KROC Center, the University of Hawaii – West Oahu, and the New Rail Station. Most holidaymakers would prefer to be located in Waikiki or Ko Olina, which offer lagoons and beach parks within a 15-minute drive. Enjoy free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, a fitness center, event space, and an outdoor pool.

Rates here are cheap for Hawaii, but this is a budget hotel. Rates start at $386 USD per room per night in June.

4. Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, Oahu

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is a sprawling Hilton hotel comprising towering high-rise buildings, conveniently located near Ala Moana shopping mall. Spanning 22 acres of lush tropical landscape, the resort boasts Waikiki’s widest stretch of sandy beach, along with the area’s only saltwater lagoon where real-life penguins can be spotted strolling the grounds. Reservations at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Resort start at 60,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

One of the highlights of this resort is its dining and drinking venues that spill out onto the beach, offering an ideal setting for sunset cocktails. However, adjusting expectations is important as the resort’s high-rise structure and urban location may differ from expectations of a remote escape.

On the plus side, the hotel’s location in Waikiki provides convenient access to all the attractions, with Pearl Harbor just a 10-minute drive away and Honolulu International Airport (HNL) a 25-minute drive. Ala Moana, Hawaii’s largest shopping mall, is easily accessible within a five-minute drive, or guests can opt for a leisurely walk or a ride on one of the open-air Trolleys.

The resort boasts a Mandara Spa, five swimming pools, and over 20 restaurants and bars to cater to guests’ needs. Rooms and suites in the Rainbow Tower offer stunning views, while the resort is spread across five towers. Each spacious room provides views of the resort, Honolulu coastline, or the Pacific Ocean. For added luxury, guests can opt for a suite or select a room at the exclusive oceanfront Ali’i Tower, which offers private check-in and enhanced services.

It’s worth considering a paid upgrade to the Ali’i Tower, which provides access to a separate check-in area, a private pool with a hot tub, and a bracelet for priority access at various restaurants on the property. Hilton Honors Diamonds often receive favorable upgrades at this tower as well.

Rates here are good value for such an extensive resort in Waikiki at $436 USD per room per night in June.

5. Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo DoubleTree, Big Island

Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo DoubleTree, a nice modern hotel, with rooms with a view of Hilo Bay. Why stay here? To see the Volcanoes National Park, you are just 30 miles away. It has a 9-hole golf course on-site and is oceanfront with lovely lawns and a pool leading down to a rocky bay (no sandy shores here).

Rates here are cheap for Hawaii at $436 USD per room per night in June.

6. Embassy Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei, Oahu

Probably the cheapest Hilton hotel in Hawaii is Embassy Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei in West Oahu. Find them a mile from Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii and 20 minutes from Pearl Harbor. They offer a free shuttle to White Plains Beach and other area beaches.

Alternatively, soak up the sun by the outdoor pool, complete with a waterfall and whirlpool. They have two restaurants and serve a complimentary reception and free cooked-to-order breakfast daily. Rates here are cheap for Hawaii at $449 USD per room per night in June.

7. Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay, Kauai

Opt for a room with direct pool access, complete with its own private patio, and relish the joy of stepping from your bed straight into the pool on a balmy morning.

Conveniently positioned next to Lydgate Beach Park and a short stroll from Wailua Bay, this Hilton provides effortless access to nearby attractions like Opaekaa Falls, Sleeping Giant Trail Head, and Fern Grotto, all reachable within a brief five-minute drive. Additionally, Wailua Falls, Kapaa Town, and Lihue Airport are just a 15-minute drive away. Enhance your stay with amenities, including an all-day restaurant, two pools, a poolside bar, and rooms featuring balconies with captivating ocean views.

8. Embassy Suites By Hilton Waikiki Beach, Oahu

Another Hilton option in Waikiki is the Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach where you can book a one-bedroom suite with a pull-out bed for $573 USD per room per night in June, which is not the cheapest Hilton in Waikiki, but as the room is much larger, you can fit more people in, so the cost per person may be less.

As with all Embassy Suites, you get free cooked-to-order breakfast and access to complimentary drinks, snacks, and weekly entertainment at the evening poolside reception.

4. Hilton Waikoloa Village, Big Island

Hilton Waikoloa Village lies in its expansive and breathtaking gardens. Spanning vast grounds, the hotel offers an air-conditioned monorail train that shuttles guests from one end to the other approximately every 10 minutes. The journey, which includes about five stops and brief pauses for loading and unloading, takes around 10-15 minutes to complete.

Guests can also enjoy leisurely boat rides through the illuminated gardens at night, admiring the twinkling lights. While the resort boasts an artificial lagoon pool and a rocky beach, this feature may be less appealing to families seeking shoreline activities.

Rates here are affordable for Hawaii and start at $632 USD per room per night in June.

10. Grand Wailea Maui, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, Maui

Grand Wailea Maui, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is one the best Hilton beach resorts, but it does come at a price. While it’s not the best value in terms of points or cash, the Grand Wailea Maui, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, on Maui is pretty special.

This hotel has a water elevator, nine pools on six levels, a waterslide, waterfalls, and a beachfront location in the high-end resort of Wailea. It is also just up the boardwalk from the Four Seasons Maui, which is one of the best Four Seasons in Hawaii.

Situated on 40 acres of lush tropical landscape along the pristine white sands of Wailea Beach, the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, offers an array of amenities to ensure a memorable stay. Guests can indulge in luxury and relaxation with five restaurants, a spa, a water park, and three golf courses. Guest rooms and suites feature complimentary Wi-Fi, and The Shops at Wailea are just a 5-minute stroll away. Kahului International Airport is a convenient 35-minute drive.

The highlight of the resort is the Wailea Canyon water park, featuring nine outdoor swimming pools interconnected by a lazy river with a unique water elevator, thrilling water slides, cascading waterfalls, hidden caves, a dedicated children’s pool, a sandy beach area, and a swim-up bar. Additionally, guests can enjoy a separate adults-only pool and sun terrace and a children’s activity program offering lei-making, crafts, and video games in a designated activity center.

Dining options abound at the resort, with Humuhumunukunukuapua’a offering Hawaiian-influenced seafood and meat dishes in a romantic setting overlooking an oceanfront lagoon. Bistro Molokini provides a relaxed atmosphere with ocean views, serving a fusion of California and Island cuisine. Café Kula offers Hawaiian fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while the Grand Dining Room presents a sumptuous daily breakfast buffet and a Champagne Brunch with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
