5. Canopy by Hilton London City, England

Canopy by Hilton London City, is a short walk away from Tower Bridge so is not far from one of the best Four Seasons in London, Ten Trinity, if you want to grab a drink or a bite at one of the most expensive and best hotels in London.

Canopy hotels are more reasonable than Four Seasons hotels, and this one is perfect for walks along the River Thames and a visit to see the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London. It’s not ideal for the rest of the major attractions in London like the London Eye, houses of parliament, Big Ben, and shopping, but all these amenities are just a couple of tube stops away, or grab a complimentary Canopy bike and use these to get around.

Rooms here are really stylish, with oatmeal and rust-coloured furnishings, hardwood floors, and a classy Canopy bed. Evening tastings are also offered, and the rooms are pet-friendly.

7. Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, Italy

Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is a favourite of ours. We go back every year for the setting, the modern rooms, the rooftop bar, and the excellent value it offers in Venice. This large hotel has over 400 fabulous rooms. It offers a modern escape from central Venice on the island of Giudecca with a fantastic rooftop pool and bar and chic, award-winning waterside restaurants.

I emphasize the modernity of this hotel because it is quite unusual to find a hotel in Venice that offers newly refurbished rooms, and these rooms make the Hilton a stand-out choice in Venice. This hilton has one of the best Hilton club lounges.

The Hilton Molino Stucky is located across the water from St. Mark’s Square on Giudecca Island. You can walk from one end of the island to the other, as far east as the magical Belmond Hotel Cipriani, which takes around 25 minutes. St. Mark’s Square and the rest of Venice are easily reached by the hotel’s regular shuttle boat, which is free beyond an initial, one-off room charge.

While the Hilton Molino Stucky offers stylish and modern rooms, the hotel is steeped in history. Exposed wooden beams and original brickwork reveal this building’s iconic warehouse design.

The hotel has a gym and a spectacular rooftop pool to enjoy. This is one of the best hotels with pools in Venice. The pool can get very busy, so the early morning is probably the best time for a swim. While there aren’t any gardens, you can step outside and sit on the seats perched on the cobbled waterfront while watching the boats for hours. You can also walk or jog the length of Giudecca Island, right by the waterside.

The breakfast here is spectacular, and the array of food is mind-boggling and extensive. There is an unbelievable view from the Skyline bar at the very top of the building, and the hotel’s best restaurant, Aromi Restaurant, is located on the quayside on the water’s edge.

The Hilton executive club lounge is the best club lounge in Venice and is on the ground floor, next to the reception and adjacent to the piano bar. This lounge is long and thin, with bare brick walls on one side containing big windows looking out to the waterfront and the boats going by.

If you book a stay at the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice via our concierge, you will get a bunch of free benefits, including hotel credit and the wonderful breakfast for free.

This Hilton is surprisingly good, and for Venice, it’s cheap. Rooms in July start at €383 EUR per night.

8. Canopy by Hilton Cannes, France

Overlooking the harbor and beaches, explore the glamour of Cannes from Canopy by Hilton Cannes. We this is the best Canopy by Hilton hotel in the world. It is located in the historic district of Le Suquet, a five-minute walk from La Croisette and the Palais des Festivals. The art district and shopping streets are also nearby.

Nestled in the heart of the iconic French Riviera, Cannes attracts millions of visitors annually with its timeless charm, captivating location, annual calendar of high-profile international events, and of course, its world-renowned film festival. The city is a treasure trove of luxury shopping destinations, acclaimed dining options, and some of the country’s best beach clubs.

Canopy by Hilton Cannes has panoramic views over the Mediterranean from one of the city’s best rooftop terraces, interiors designed by acclaimed designer Ramy Fischer, and a relaxing swimming pool that flows from indoors to outdoors. This hotel’s gorgeous terrace is pictured above. This opening marks Hilton’s first hotel in Cannes and is the latest addition to the growing portfolio of Canopy by Hilton properties across Europe.

With an unbeatable address, moments away from the port, Canopy by Hilton Cannes exemplifies the city’s relaxed chic. The hotel features 129 guest rooms, suites, and 12 apartments, most of which offer impressive views over the old harbor, La Croisette, and the Lérins Islands.

Canopy by Hilton Cannes features an indoor-outdoor heated swimming pool overlooking the sea, and a fitness center is accessible daily. An indulgent spa includes five cabins, a hammam, a Japanese bath, and a sauna, where guests can revitalize and re-energize with a selection of face and body treatments.

Marea restaurant’s breathtaking 360° panorama can be found on the top floor, pictured above. Here, guests can share a selection of small plates meticulously sourced from local suppliers.

Rates here in July start at €418 EUR per room per night, and seeing as this Hilton is near the beach and bathed in the sunshine on the French Riviera, we think this is an incredible deal for such a modern and beautifully finished hotel.

9. Hilton Lake Como, Italy

I had to include the Hilton Lake Como as this really is one of the best and cheapest luxury hotels on Lake Como, and if you are traveling in Italy, it is not to be missed. With unparalleled lake views from its rooftop pool and sky-high bar, Hilton Lake Como is located on the slopes surrounding Lake Como, just 10 minutes from the city center. The grand Villa Olmo is less than a five-minute walk away, and many of the area’s boat trips depart nearby. Get panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains from their rooftop infinity pool and sky-high bar. For luxury plus value on Lake Como, this Hilton is hard to beat.

Rooms here are also ultra modern with dark wood flooring. Some of the rooms have big, chunky wooden beams, and all have modern furnishings and rugs and feel stylish.

Bathrooms are also modern, with an inset sink, big cream marble tiles, and backlit mirrors. Dare I say they are pretty gorgeous and not what I would expect from an ordinary Hilton-branded hotel. Some rooms have stand-alone tubs, big backlit mirrors, and those little magnifying mirrors on pulleys to enable you to pluck your eyebrows with decent lighting.

The color palette of the rooms is natural wood floor, natural grey and oatmeal seating and rugs, white walls, and clean white bedding. Some rooms here have a lake view, and while this view is nice, it is fairly distant as the hotel is set back from the lake, but the windows in the rooms are huge, wide floor-to-ceiling jobs, so if you do get a room with a view, the distant views remain pretty. Whether they are worth the extra cost is a personal opinion.

There’s a small heated rooftop pool with great views. Some guests report an extra charge for this pool. There’s also an Elemis spa and a fitness center with a stylish indoor spa pool and loungers.

If you stay here, you must try the decked roof terrace, as it is a gorgeous setting with multicolored lights and a fabulous view of the lake. Purple backlights reflect olive trees, which are laden with sparkly fairy lights. Sofas and bar stools are scattered around, all set on stylish decking. Some parts are sheltered from the sun by marquee tent-type fabric awnings.

A big firepit is used to roast meats, which gives the whole area a smokey smell. Downstairs is a small bar area, and the main breakfast restaurant is fairly stark with a lovely big alfresco area with tables and chairs set on gravel in the sunshine.

In July, rates here start at €695 per night, which, believe it or not, is cheap for Lake Como. Hotel Tremezzo comes in at €1,900 EUR per night, excluding taxes & fees, so you can see what a bargain this Hilton is for Lake Como.

10. Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero, France

In at number 10 Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero which is a brilliant option in Paris. Like in London, this Canopy hotel is not perfectly located, but it’s good enough and easily accessible by public transport.

Unfortunately, this hotel is sold out in July due to the Olympics, but if you are looking for a cheap luxury hotel in Paris with a roof terrace with views out to the Eifel Tower, this Paris Hilton is hard to beat!

The 123-room property draws inspiration from Trocadero’s rich history and incorporates thoughtful touches from the industrial past of the 1930s building. Canopy Paris Trocadero is located in the iconic 16th arrondissement, known for its elegant 19th-century architecture, large avenues, renowned museums, and trendy restaurants.

The hotel is steps from Jardins du Trocadero and the Trocadero Metro stop. You can walk the city from here. The Eiffel Tower is a kilometer away, and the hotel is less than 10 minutes from the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, and Bois de Boulogne.

The all-day dining restaurant is stylish and modern, with a glass ceiling that gushes light into the space. The rooms are modern and inviting. The rooftop terrace and bar overlook the Eiffel Tower, which is the perfect place to end your day. The views are fantastic!
