Which are the best luxury hotels in Vienna in Austria with executive club lounges? These include Hilton Danube, Hilton Vienna am Stadtpark, Hilton Vienna Plaza, Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel, InterContinental Vienna, Ritz-Carlton Vienna, and the Marriott.

Vienna, Austria’s capital, lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Past residents include Mozart, Beethoven, and Sigmund Freud.

The city is also known for its baroque streetscapes, imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence, its coffee-house culture, and vibrant design scene. In the MuseumsQuartier district, historic and contemporary buildings display works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, and other artists.

Below we have outlined the top 10 best luxury hotels in Vienna with executive club lounges, which will give you the best possible experience during your stay in this cultural capital.

1. The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna

Located next to Stadtpark, directly on the famous Ring Boulevard within the city center, The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna has the best executive club lounge in Vienna and is the one of the best Marriott hotels in Vienna. Whether visitors are looking to explore history or want to indulge in a day of local flavors, the hotel offers the perfect location with easy accessibility.

From one of the largest standard rooms in the city to the luxurious Presidential Suite, all 159 rooms and 43 suites offer individual touches, and many of them private terraces or balconies.

Guests can rejuvenate at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, including Health Club and Fitness area, or enjoy the 60ft.-long indoor pool with underwater music.

Atmosphere Rooftop Bar on the 8th floor is the hot spot with its spectacular views over the city, whether as a lounge in summer or as the most exclusive Christmas Market in winter.

The hotel’s Dstrikt Steakhouse became the leading steakhouse in town and offers the best selection of Austrian meats cooked on a “Josper” charcoal grill.

Guests can also experience Vienna’s most creative afternoon tea at the Melounge Lobby Lounge for a memorable time. This is definitely one of the very best luxury hotels in Vienna.

Hosting the best club lounge in Vienna, it remains unique in the city and is specifically designed for the luxury-seeking traveler. Club rooms currently include a complimentary one-way airport transfer, extra spacious rooms with complimentary Internet access (average room size – 43m²), a luxurious marble bathroom with a separate shower, oversize bathtub, and heated floors and Asprey bath essentials.

The club lounge offers a personalized Concierge service and all-day food and beverage presentations, more than enough to fill you up.

2. InterContinental Vienna

The InterContinental Vienna hotel places you moments away from the world-renowned Vienna State Opera and stylish shopping on pedestrianized Kärntner Strasse. Behind its functionalist 1960s exterior, the hotel’s magnificent wood-paneled lobby is hung with chandeliers and is softened by Persian-style rugs.

In terms of location, The hotel is just a short walk from Vienna’s compact historic center, and it overlooks the green trees of Stadtpark, a lovely park with a river threading through it and a great place to jog or stroll. Immediately behind the hotel is Vienna’s main concert hall which is fronted by an open-air ice-rink (in the winter) and an urban beach with a beach bar in the summer.

Within the hotel, you can work out in the state-of-the-art fitness center, dine on gourmet cuisine in our chic Parlor restaurant, or savor classic cocktails in the refined Intermezzo Bar.

Our top tip here is to enjoy the live piano music and jazz concerts in the bar on selected evenings: with its opulent crystal chandelier, exquisite drinks, and bar food until 2:00 am, the legendary Intermezzo Bar is great fun…

You can see what we have experienced in terms of food and drink at the club lounge at InterContinental O2 in London and the club lounge at InterContinental Park Lane which will give you an idea of what to expect. This InterContinental club lounge will undoubtedly be one of the best, with a substantial hot and cold buffet and a la carte breakfast and evening canapes and alcoholic drinks.

3. Vienna Marriott Hotel

The Vienna Marriott Hotel is a Rewards Category 6 Marriott Bonvoy hotel located downtown in the historic City Center, on the breathtaking Ringstrasse. Unwind in modern guest rooms and suites that have been recently renovated, and many have incredible city views.

There’s a fully-equipped Health Club and a heated indoor pool to enjoy after exploring Vienna. With the ideal location of the hotel, guests can easily reach famous attractions like the Vienna Opera House or St. Stephen’s Cathedral, as well as celebrated shopping and dining.

The Executive Lounge is on the upper floor and is a nice lounge. The breakfast is standard lounge fare and evening dinner tends to be a mix of hot dishes and cold cuts. The hot dishes include offerings like chicken with rice and spring rolls as well as small sandwiches and potato salad.

The Renaissance Wien (near Schonbrunn), the Hotel Bristol Luxury Collection, the Hotel Imperial Luxury Collection, and Le Meridien Vienna do not have executive club lounges here so your choice of hotel with a club lounge is somewhat limited. The Park Hyatt Vienna, like most Park Hyatt hotels, does not have an executive lounge either.

4. Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel

Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel is a Rewards Category 4 Marriott Bonvoy hotel. People who stay here tend to rave about it as it has a fantastic executive club lounge and even though it isn’t slap bang in the center of the tourist part of the city, it is right next to the S-Bahn so you can easily get around.

The stylish and elegant Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel is located in a building that once served as a military riding school in the mid-19th century; today, it’s a chic base for your city center adventure.

The foyer here is extremely smart, and the doors to the pool area open up completely so that you can lounge on stylish loungers which sit on grassy lawns between your swims. Pet-friendly rooms and suites offer high-speed Wi-Fi, pillowtop beds, and 24-hour room service.

Start your morning in Vienna with breakfast at Borromaeus, and try an Austrian meal at Arsenal in the evening. Their City Garden is a lovely place to enjoy the hotel’s seasonal barbecues.

The executive club lounge here is brilliant, on the ground floor, and has almost floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto a paved square. It’s lovely and bright and a great space to spend time in. The breakfast here is standard fare, with the club lounge dinner being mainly cold food with a couple of hot dishes like samosas, rice, and chicken, and a good warm soup. Certainly enough to fill you up.

5. Hilton Vienna Plaza

The Hilton Vienna Plaza is the best Hilton in Vienna. It is beautifully designed, has excellent staff, and is found in the best location for tourism. The club lounge is attractive and has good breakfasts too.

Rooms are large and well-appointed with large bathrooms and a generous welcome gift with wine, water, and some sweets if you are a Platinum Hilton Honors member.

The executive lounge on the second floor is fairly large and very comfortable, with breakfast and happy hour food and alcoholic drinks and an afternoon tea with delicious Viennese cakes.

Everything in the hotel is very modern, clean and the staff are great. The hotel location is right next to the U-Bahn line and right on the ring in the 1st district, so ideal for touring the city.

Hilton Vienna Plaza has a really nice bar, and in fact, a good tip is to ask if you can eat breakfast in the bar area rather than the busy restaurant, which can get a bit overrun on busy mornings.

6. Hilton Vienna am Stadtpark

The Hilton Vienna am Stadtpark is a big conference hotel that lacks character but can do very reasonable points or paid rates at weekends. It is not as nice as the Hilton Plaza, but this difference is usually represented in the price. The breakfast in the restaurant here has a particularly good reputation.

The location might be the best thing about this hotel, as the building it is housed in is a rather ugly building, and the executive lounge is fairly small. In fact, the executive lounge has a very similar food offering to the Hilton Plaza with the usual breakfast and happy hour food but also a spectacular afternoon tea with Viennese cakes. Sadly the size of this lounge lets it down.

The hotel can be found right across from a large transit center. It is about a minute walk away from the hotel, and the U Bahn stops here along with the airport express. You can take the U Bahn, S Bahn, and Tram system pretty much everywhere in the city. There are also plenty of fantastic restaurants within a short walk too. Don’t miss Schoenbrunn palace and gardens, which is a lovely place to spend a sunny day.

7. Hilton Danube

The Danube Hilton is a bit of a river cruising factory but can offer the best value of the Hilton hotels in Vienna. It often comes in at half the price of the Plaza. It also offers a lovely waterfront location which is very appealing and it’s not far to walk to stadion station to get metro into downtown Vienna, but do be aware, this hotel is out in the sticks and quite far from the center of town, so you can’t walk into town.

This more “difficult” location is somewhat made up for by the wonderful views of the Danube from many of the rooms and from the executive club lounge.

The club lounge here is also excellent and at the very top of the hotel. Access includes a cooked breakfast in the morning, cakes and snacks during the day, and two hours of canapes, desserts, and alcoholic drinks during happy hour (including spirits and prosecco).
