There’s plenty of choice within the Marriott brand, including top brands like the Luxury Collection, EDITION, St Regis, W Hotels, and JW Marriott, as well as mid-range brands like their Autograph Collection, Renaissance, Sheraton, Le Meridien, Design Hotels, and their Westin collections.
Shenzhen is an important center of technology, finance, and manufacturing. Some say it’s China’s Silicon Valley. There are many annual trade fairs in its calendar, not to mention it has superbly convenient access to Hong Kong and Guangzhou. The city was appointed a UNESCO City of Design in 2008 and is home to many artists and industrial designers. Amid the energetic buzz of this metropolis, leisure travelers will discover nature reserves and city parks, world-class golf, museums, and historic sites, vibrant nightlife, and epic shopping, as well as the city’s famous theme parks.
If you are looking to stay in Futian, Shenzhen, near the convention center, your best Marriott choice is the Ritz-Carlton. You should also consider the Four Seasons too, as their customer service is unbeatable and this hotel is newer and around 200m from the Ritz-Carlton. The Ritz-Carlton feels more boutique and both have the best club lounges in Shenzhen.
Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan is probably the second or third best Marriott hotel in town after the Ritz-Carlton. It is very special. The St. Regis is also excellent. Most of the suites at St Regis are loft-style. Next up in position 4 is JW Marriott Bao’an. The downside of the JW Marriott Bao’an is that it attracts lots of local families on weekends, which means it can be busy and noisy at weekends. The other JW is also an excellent choice.
The best resort is the Shenzhen Marriott Golden Bay which offers generous free upgrades to elites. It has an oceanfront position and amazing pools, but it can also be busy with families at weekends. The best redemption value would probably be Courtyard Shenzhen Bay, mentioned at the bottom of this article. It is a great deal and has a great club lounge.
1. Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen
The 26-story Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen is located in the heart of Shenzhen, with easy access to Hong Kong and other major cities. It is situated in the new downtown business district of Futian. The city’s Convention and Exhibition Centre is located across the street, and the hotel is surrounded by major office buildings, three shopping malls, and a nearby metro station.
Of course, this hotel is not a Marriott Bonvoy hotel. There isn’t a Four Seasons loyalty program, so you will never be able to book a free stay by racking up and redeeming points, or by collecting points on your credit card and spending them on a Four Seasons hotel stay. 2. The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen
The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen exudes grace and sophistication at every turn. 3. The St. Regis Shenzhen
The St. Regis Shenzhen is nestled within the famed Luohu District Financial Center. The views from this hotel are simply astounding. There are three dining venues and a wine bar, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and Iridium Spa. 290 elegantly appointed guest rooms, including 33 suites, present myriad custom amenities, from 3D LCD televisions to signature St. Regis beds. Moreover, every experience is elevated by St. Regis Butler service, available any time, day or night.
In terms of location, the St Regis is around 5 or 6km away from the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons (which are more-or-less next door to each other) in an area next to a nice park. The St Regis has the advantage of being in the top 20 floors of a 100 story building making the views unbeatable. It is also is pretty much the highest building in the area, so the views remain unblocked in all directions.
Of course, there is no club lounge here, so if you are looking for a fantastic Marriott with an executive club lounge, go for the Ritz-Carlton, but if you are just looking for luxury, this hugely high hotel in the sky is a superb choice.
4. Shenzhen Marriott Nanshan

JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen Bao’an is a luxury hotel situated in the bustling Shenzhen Qianhai district, just 15 minutes from the airport. Do not confuse this hotel with the older JW Hotel Shenzhen in town. This new hotel is located in the District of Bao’An.
How does this compare to the other JW? Well, JW Marriotts in Asia are miles ahead of US properties. The service, in particular, is excellent, plus there is a really great breakfast for Elites in the lobby restaurant called The Kitchen or in the Executive Lounge. The Kitchen breakfast is the one to choose with an almost never-ending choice of food, both Chinese & Western, as well as cook-to-order eggs and noodles.
Settle into your sophisticated guest room or suite, each one showcasing an impressive variety of luxury amenities, abundant natural light, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Shenzhen Bao’an and Qianhai Bay.

6. JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen
JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen is a Rewards Category 3 Marriott Bonvoy hotel and is centrally located in the Futian Business District, much like the Ritz-Carlton above.
This hotel is convenient for the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, Shenzhen Window of the World, and Futian Checkpoint. While here, guests can enjoy the beautiful view of their golf course, spacious accommodations, and comfortable bedding with plush beds.
Envelope yourself in luxury with extensive spa treatments at Yue Spa, take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, and work out in the modern, 24-hour Health Club.
The Marriott Executive Lounge is on the 27th Floor and serves breakfast, tea, and a happy hour with alcoholic beverages.
The food is excellent with an extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast, egg stations, dim sum, really everything you could wish for, and they offer a similarly good Happy Hour buffet. Both meals will fill you up enough so that you won’t have to eat elsewhere. We actually reviewed the JW Marriott executive club lounge in London. This review will give you an idea of how good the food is in almost all JW Marriott executive lounges (alcohol at JW Marriotts is not free on American soil but is in most of the rest of the world).
7. Shenzhen Marriott Golden Bay
The oceanfront position Shenzhen Marriott Golden Bay offers a resort atmosphere and amazing pools. It has a “Zen” Asian design, and rooms have stunning sea views.

Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Golden Bay offers 325 spacious guest rooms and suites featuring panoramic sea views, as well as high-speed Internet access and high-tech facilities.

Shenzhen Futian hotel is located in the heart of Shenzhen’s business and shopping district. Walk to the Convention Center Metro Station, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, or Futian High-speed Railway Station, all five minutes away.
There is plenty to enjoy with 354 well-appointed rooms and 21 meeting rooms, various restaurants, and the Afterwardz Lobby Bar. Boost yourself in the well-equipped Fitness Centre or relax in the indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
The executive club lounge at Shenzhen Futian hotel is reportedly very good and large, plus it is open 7 days a week. It offers plenty of breakfast and evening snacks. 9. Westin Shenzhen Nanshan, Futian
The Westin Shenzhen Nanshan is located opposite the famed Window of the World amusement park and part of an upscale shopping complex, and it has direct subway access. Enjoy panoramic views of Shenzhen Bay and the bridge to Hong Kong.

This SPG property is excellent and offers an excellent club lounge with a massive array of food. It is about 20-30 minutes by cab to the downtown (Luohu) business district, and faster access can be gained via the number one subway line with a stop adjacent.

Courtyard Shenzhen Bay is a rewards category 2 hotel making it the cheapest redemption in our listing, and yet it maintains a level of luxury and an excellent club lounge. It is located in Nanshan, just moments from the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarter Matrix and Hi-Tech Park station.
