Small Luxury Hotels Loyalty Club: The Invited Program
Small Luxury Hotels of the World is a collection of 520 luxury hotels in 80 countries. Small Luxury Hotels Loyalty Club, The Invited Program ,is a consumer loyalty program which you should join if you ever plan to stay at SLH hotels. The SLH Invited loyalty club has three tier levels; Invited, Inspired and Indulged.
As an Invited level member, which is what you get for simply signing up, you will get a free continental breakfast, early check-in if available, late check-out if available and free wi-fi. This is a no-brainer if you plan to stay at any of these hotels.
The next level is Inspired, which gets you all the benefits of Invited plus a birthday gift and a one-category room upgrade if available at check-in (quite a valuable perk). Interestingly, Small Luxury Hotels partners with American Express and you can get Inspired for free if you hold an American Express credit card. To reach this level without an Amex card you need to have made one previous stay, so if you want these extra benefits from the start, you would do well to join SLH via this Amex link. If you are not an Amex card holder you would be well advised to take out a free Amex card before your planned stay.
I recommend the FREE Amex Gold Card which is an incredible deal for both my UK & US based readers, with a huge free bonus of Membership Rewards.
‘Inspired’ Benefits (which come free with your Amex) include:
Member Exclusive Rate
Early Check-In (Noon, based upon availability at booking and check-in).
Late Check Out (3pm, based on availability at check-in).
Daily complimentary breakfast for two.
Member Exclusive Promotions.
Room Upgrade (one category at check-in if available).
The top level is ‘Indulged’. You become this level of member after 6+ stays. At this level, you get invited to events (which has little to no value for most members). You also get a reward night voucher after your 6+ stays (or $6,000 USD spend), which could be valuable, if you are able to redeem the voucher at one of the more expensive SLH properties.
Once you are a member of the Small Luxury Hotels Loyalty Club, you should still book through our Luxury Travel Concierge so that you can double-up and get both your Invited Program benefits AND our SLH Virtuoso travel agent benefits on the same booking. This maximises your return on any bookings at SLH hotels.
