In this trip report, I review Gatwick Airport Lounges in London Gatwick’s North and South Terminal. These include the British Airways First and Business Lounges in the South Terminal. We’ve collectively flown with British Airways many times and have also reviewed British Airways First Class flights and British Airways Business Class flights.
Which lounge is best? Of these lounges, it is the BA First Lounge in Gatwick. Both British Airways Lounges are head and shoulders above the other lounges found at Gatwick and are, for me, a reason to fly Club Europe or Club World out of Gatwick. The prize for the best Airport Lounges in the world does, however, probably go to Qatar Airways for its jaw-dropping Al Safwa First Class Lounge in Doha’s new Hamad International Airport.
It is worth mentioning that the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge is probably the best airport lounge in Gatwick North Terminal. There are also a number of other paid lounge options that you can also access with your priority pass.

Review: British Airways Gatwick South First Class Lounge
Being brutally honest, in looks and seating alone, the First class British Airways lounge at Gatwick South is no better than the Business Club Lounge at Gatwick South which we have already reviewed with pictures. In fact, the seating on offer is pretty much identical, although the room itself is a more intimate space. What the First Class lounge does offer over the Business lounge is a quieter atmosphere and arguably a better view of the planes. You see, the Business lounge is partially overlooking an airport road and the top of part of the terminal.
Review & Pictures Of Gatwick South British Airways Business Lounge
The new British Airways Business lounge for Club passengers and First lounge is open at London Gatwick’s South Terminal, and it is an absolute cracker. Following a late opening due to electrical teething troubles, the lounge is now fully functional if a little hot. While I was there, the air conditioning was clearly not working, and the room was a balmy 24’C ish - not a problem for me, but another passenger complained that the heat was "disgraceful". Other than this issue, the lounge really was rather good.
Review: No1 Airport Lounge, Gatwick North Terminal
The No1 Lounge in Gatwick Airport's North Terminal is, in my opinion, the best airport lounge in Gatwick North Terminal. Our review below outlines exactly why this lounge is better than the other Priority Pass lounge options. This is the only Priority Pass lounge in Gatwick North Terminal with a decent view across the runways (see pictures). The other lounges in Gatwick North face onto airport roads. This is the largest of the three lounges you can access with a Priority Pass. It is light and airy.
Review: Aspire Airport Lounge Gatwick
When in Gatwick Airport, I usually head straight to the No 1 Lounge in the North Terminal, but since writing my article about the new Aspire Airport lounge opening in Heathrow Terminal 5 I have been wanting to test the other Aspire lounges to see what else is on offer from Gatwick's Airport Lounges. The last time I traveled through London Gatwick's North Terminal, I used the No1 lounge and found the tables to be grubby and untended.
Review: My Lounge Gatwick North Terminal
When I was walking towards my usual No1 Traveller Lounge in the North Terminal of London Gatwick Airport, which is complimentary with my Priority Pass which is included with my American Express Platinum Card, I noticed My lounge had popped up on the corridor to all the lounges. This lounge, branded My Lounge, is a third alternative for Priority Pass users and is an interesting option when the No1 Traveller lounges do occasionally get fully booked with pre-bookings. My Lounge looks like a Starbucks or a Costa.
