Book A Stay

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita is a five-star oceanfront resort. It neighbors Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, an intimate adult-only jungle retreat. Both are set on a secluded peninsula on Mexico’s Pacific coast. These are undoubtedly two of the best Four Seasons hotels in Mexico.

Location

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita is situated in the exclusive Punta Mita area of the Riviera Nayarit, along the pristine Pacific coast of Mexico. This luxurious Resort enjoys a privileged location on a lush, tropical peninsula surrounded by white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Punta Mita is renowned for its natural beauty, with picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, lush greenery, and dramatic coastline. The Resort offers guests a serene and secluded retreat while still being conveniently close to Puerto Vallarta and its international airport, which is approximately a 45-minute drive away. Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) is easily accessible from most major airports in the United States.

St Regis Punta Mita, La Quinta del Sol, located in the village, W Punta de Mita, Conrad Punta Mita, and Imanta are competitor hotels in Punta Mita, and One&Only Mandarina is an hour’s drive away. The Four Seasons and St. Regis are on the end of the peninsula, offering incredible views.

Book your stay at any of these hotels via our luxury travel concierge for extra benefits and perks, including free breakfast, resort credit, and a prioritized room upgrade.

Style & Character

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita is located in the private, ultra-luxurious 1,500-acre (600-hectare) community of Punta Mita. The beachfront property is set on 52 acres (21 hectares) and boasts incredible surf, lush jungles, and endless adventure.

With the final phase of the Resort’s comprehensive multi-year, multi-million-dollar renovation complete, guests can now enjoy newly renovated casita-style guest rooms, well-appointed private villas, and beach homes, the free-form Nuna infinity-edge pool, and the Tamai pool deck, in addition to Punta Mita’s legendary warm and gracious hospitality.

Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort and neighbor to Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, has just 15 luxury tents nestled into 48 forested acres (19 hectares) of the tropical jungle. Guests can tune into the rhythm of nature, where unscripted moments flow seamlessly, free from distractions.

From the moment guests cross through the cocoon portal together, the world’s transformative power around guests at Naviva encourages deep bonds with one another. Guests can practice connection with Naviva’s Temazcal “House of Heat” devotion ceremonies, harmonize with yoga on La Solana Beach, slip away to a Spa Pod, connect over cocktails at the tranquil Selva Pool, and retreat to their tented sanctuary to relax and reflect in the serenity of the forest.

Service & Facilities

Four Seasons Punta Mita offers a variety of amenities, including lazy rivers, beaches, pools, wonderful restaurants, golf, and a kids’ club.

The lobby is open-air with a thatched roof and views across the Resort. Four Seasons Punta Mita opened in 1999, so it does not offer the contemporary design of some of the other Four Seasons hotels in Mexico, like the two Four Seasons in the Los Cabos area, but it is a stunning resort nonetheless, and many of our concierge clients rave about this hotel.

There are two beaches, one of which is calm and quite long, so you can grab a Four Seasons lounger or go for a shoreside walk. The other beach is smaller, busier, and closer to the bars and restaurants.

If you are into wildlife, you can often spot whales in the ocean around this hotel, and the hotel releases baby turtles into the ocean some nights around sunset, which is fun to get involved in.

There are three main pools: an infinity-edge pool tailored for families, a stunning infinity adults-only pool, and the lazy river, which comes complete with rubber blow-up rings and offers relaxing fun for everyone.

Rooms

All casitas at the Four Seasons are 645 ft² (60 m²), including both the indoor and outdoor space. The floors are wooden and tiled, and the extensive terraces are a highlight, with a large L-shaped sofa and a seating area with a table.

Plunge pool rooms with ocean views are particularly nice because the tub has a seating area. This is a great place to enjoy the view. The oceanfront views are incredible as these rooms are set up on a hill above the ocean.

While the rooms are stunning, as you would expect, they lack the modern design of the new Four Seasons hotels in Los Cabos, which incorporates floor-to-ceiling windows and more contemporary architecture.

Food & Drink

Guests can relish the Resort’s 10 alfresco restaurants with ocean views, a serene spa, and two world-class golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. All offer unrivaled Four Seasons luxury infused with an authentic taste of Mexico.

One of the restaurants, the salad shack, is right on the beach, so you can sit on the chairs and tables set out on the sand.

Conclusion

From its stunning oceanfront setting to its vibrant local culture and abundant outdoor activities, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita provides guests with an unforgettable destination to relax, unwind, and experience the beauty of Mexico’s Pacific coast. While the design of the Resort is from the late 1990s, it has been recently refurbished, and the setting and ambiance are incredible.
