2. Apollo Hotel Amsterdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Apollo Hotel Amsterdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is set on scenic Apollolaan, overlooking the intersection of five canals. This hotel falls under the Marriott umbrella, so you can earn and burn your Marriott Bonvoy points here.

This downtown hotel is well-positioned with a unique interior design, thoughtful amenities, and a prime location in the city center. It is within walking distance to numerous museums, parks, and the Convention Center.

It’s also near the Anne Frank House, The Rijksmuseum and Dam Square. Recharge in unique hotel rooms and suites with canal views, indulgent bedding, flat-screen TVs, large workstations, and free Wi-Fi. Enjoy the Design Room’s beauty and the suite’s generous living room.

Indulge in fine French cuisine at The Living Room by Bodon and international favorites at The Harbour Club Amsterdam Zuid.

The property also features a 24-hour fitness center, an exclusive members’ club lounge, EV charging stations, and a business center. For those planning events, this downtown hotel offers five elevated venues, including a rooftop terrace and striking ballroom.

3. Amsterdam Marriott Hotel

Sorry, but the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel is fairly ugly from the outside. A red brick block monstrosity, but inside, you will be pleasantly surprised. Rooms have been renovated with sleek bathrooms, using modern, natural materials, and there’s a decent M Club Lounge, which is one of the best executive club lounges in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam Marriott Hotel boasts an unparalleled location across from the Leidseplein, just moments from Amsterdam city center’s most celebrated shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations, including the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, and Vondelpark.

In the evening, unwind with hand-crafted cocktails in the lounge before dining on juicy steaks and local produce at their delectable steakhouse. With a 24-hour fitness center and soothing sauna.

4. Renaissance Amsterdam

The Renaissance Amsterdam is labeled as a luxury hotel, but it is not a patch on the hotels outlined above. The Marriott, for example, offers a better club lounge, nicer refurbished rooms, and a better location.

Renaissance Amsterdam is located near the Herengracht Canal and is a 25-minute walk from Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The movie Museum is only 2 km away. This location isn’t great. It does, however, offer a club lounge.
