Book A Stay

The incredible Amirandes Grecotel Boutique Resort has been styled after the water palaces of Minoan Kings and Venetian Nobles that once ruled Crete. This glamorous, unique property has been staged around the ancient lagoon and feels so much more than just a luxury hotel.

Location

Amirandes Grecotel Boutique Resort can be found around 20 km from Heraklion’s shops and cafés and airport. The Minoan Palace of Knossos is a similar distance from the resort, and Crete’s only 18-hole course is around 10 km away.

Style & Character

Amirandes Grecotel Boutique Resort resembles a modern-day Minoan palace swept by sea breezes, with shimmering waters, Minoan marble, stone, and wooden textures adorned with palmerai, pithoi, herbs, and olive trees, all surrounded by the sparkling sea. As the sun goes down, this resort looks like it’s just stepped out of the pages of Vogue.

Rooms

Two hundred twelve rooms run across five categories: Superior or Luxury rooms, Bungalows, Suites, Villas, and four Residences. All have sea or garden views. All rooms have either a private or a shared pool.

We particularly love the Swim Up Superior room, which boasts the comforts and amenities that set the standard at Amirandes, with the added bonus of an individual pool in a beautifully landscaped garden.

Service & Facilities

The resort boasts 60 private pools and an Olympic-sized seafront resort pool with overwater gazebos. Lawns and pathways lead down to a beautiful beach.

The Amirandes Elixir Alchemy Spa has signature treatments using organic plants and extracts from Crete’s rare and aromatic herbs, as well as a great range of facilities, including an indoor pool, sauna, six private massage rooms, beauty salon, seafront beach massage area, and fitness room with Technogym & Cybex cardio fitness equipment.

Guests can also enjoy a wide and varied range of activities, including sports, watersports, athletic facilities, and outdoor experiences such as horse riding, golf, mountain biking, the Dinosauria Park, the CretAquarium, padel courts, and an e-bike service.

Food & Drink

Amirandes Grecotel Boutique Resort enjoys an impressive seven restaurants & bars, each serving exquisite and original cuisine from Italian, Greek, Asian, and local Cretan to steaks and seafood at the water’s edge.

Conclusion

This stylish seaside resort has a lovely beach and a huge pool. Families are well catered to here with suites offering a separate lounge and main bedroom and decent-sized private pools for family fun. As the sun goes down, this hotel offers an incredibly Instagramable setting.
