Hotel Bristol is less than a 10-minute walk from the Ritz-Carlton Vienna, less than 5-minute walk from the Hotel Imperial which is the other Luxury Collection Hotel (under the Marriott umbrella) in Vienna.
It stands grandly on one of the main road intersections on the Ring Boulevard in Vienna. On one side, you can watch the trams whizz past, and directly opposite the hotel is a small garden and the entrance to a Vienna underground station.
The Vienna State Opera is opposite, and the Musikverein Vienna can be found around the corner. The Vienna Musikverein is where they film the world-renowned New Year’s Concert.
Style & Character

The foyer has a black and white marble floor and chandeliers hanging from an ornate ceiling. A grandfather clock dongs the time away next to the concierge desk.
The check-in area is an oval-shaped room with an Art Deco feel. There’s a bean-shaped reception desk and leather seats hanging out on a rust-colored oval rug.
The main staircase is particularly imposing, with ornate metal carvings rather than rungs underneath the handrails and art deco-style windows with circular tops surrounding the luxurious stairwell. The old-fashioned but immaculate lift with its golden facia is, again, a deeply historic design and lovely to see.
The hotel and rooms are packed with original Austrian artwork to the fin de siècle antiques.

Since early 2013, new Grand Deluxe Rooms and Bristol Suites have been added in line with the hotel’s original style. The 150 guest rooms include one of the largest Suites in Austria, as well as convenient room combinations for families.
The new rooms have a modern feel, with updated decor and bathrooms. The remaining rooms have a historic feel.
The view of the rooms can vary between the Ring Boulevard, the State Opera, a quiet side street, or the inner courtyard. The gorgeous Opera facing suites host magnificent circular bedrooms with huge windows offering a unique panorama over this most majestic and enchanting of cities.
