1. Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort

Located in Maremma, a beautiful but still-unexplored part of Southern Tuscany, you’ll find the stunning Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort. A 5-star resort with a striking metropolitan design, which is home to the on-site Argentario Golf Club and the only ‘PGA National Italy’ 18-hole golf course, as well as a huge wellness center and gourmet restaurant.

The resort lies 90 minutes away from Rome’s Fiumicino airport, is surrounded by cork-oak woods and centuries-old olive trees, and is set on sprawling greens. There are 73 guest rooms and suites, as well as a cottage; the décor is minimalist with a glamorous feel, and all rooms have heavenly terraces with incredible views of the golf course. Suites are worth the upgrade; they add sitting areas, and some also include whirlpool tubs. Plus, the décor in the Suites is divine and totally Instagram-worthy!

The aesthetically pleasing golf course is designed by former European Tour player Baldovino Dassù and architect David Mezzacane and features 18 panoramic holes for a total of 6,218 meters and par 71.

When you’re not golfing, you can relax in the outdoor pools or book a treatment at the vast 2,700m² Espace Wellness Center, which includes a hi-tech fitness center and heated indoor swimming pool if you’re feeling active. There are also three tennis courts, a football field, and jogging trails. The hotel embraces its location at mealtimes; its gourmet restaurant, Dama Dama, serves delectable, wholesome Tuscan cuisine using fresh produce grown on-site or on local farms.

2. Toscana Resort Castelfalfi

Toscana Resort Castelfalfi is located just over an hour’s drive southwest of Florence. It features a 5-star hotel that opened in March 2017 and serves to combine its golf course with a spa retreat, something for everyone.

There are 27 holes at the Castelfalfi golf club; the mountain course is close to 7,000 yards and is laid out among mature woodland, and the lake course has nine holes but is 3,500 yards and set in a stunning picturesque location.

There are 120 rooms and 11 suites; the Deluxe and Executive rooms are suitable for discerning travelers, and the Suites add living areas. There is a restaurant within the hotel, the stylish La Via del Sale, as well as two bars and two other restaurants in the resort. La Spa offers 1000 m² of relaxation space and includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools with whirlpool features, a sauna, a bio sauna, a steam bath, and emotional showers. There’s also a 4-star boutique hotel within the same resort.

3. Poggio dei Medici Golf & Resort

Poggio dei Medici Golf and Resort is an upscale 4-star luxury hotel and golf resort set in Mugello Valley and lies only a few kilometers from Florence. Its 18-hole, 332-meter golf course boasts lush fairways and well-paced greens surrounded by beautiful rolling hills. And when you can tear yourself away from the golf, there’s an outdoor swimming pool, Turkish bath, gym, and a wellness center where you can have a massage or beauty treatment.

The elegant restaurant, with its beautiful terrace that overlooks the golf course, serves Tuscan specialties, and the Club House Bar, which also acts as a café, is the perfect place for golfers to meet and discuss their latest round. The 70 rooms and suites are set in a restored old farmhouse, are furnished in typical Tuscan style, and feature balconies or patios. Upgraded rooms add golf course views, and suites have separate living rooms.
