If you’re longing for an enchanting countryside getaway in the UK, that’s less than 3 hours from central London, then look no further than Dominey’s Yard. Nestled in the idyllic landscape of deepest Dorset, this collection of four charming Victorian workers’ cottages offers a quintessentially British retreat. The cottages lie within a sprawling 2.5 acres of beautiful private gardens, complete with hidden pathways and delightful surprises. It’s a haven that will ignite the imagination of both children and adults alike.

Buckland Newton is situated at the head of the beautiful Piddle Valley, encompassed by magnificent countryside that has earned the distinction of being designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). For a whimsical shortcut, there’s a cheeky Alice in Wonderland-style doorway nestled in the leafy green hedgerow that can transport you to the pub garden in just a few steps, adding a touch of enchantment to your village experience.
During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to explore an excellent array of nearby attractions. Highlights include the Roman Town House and Amphitheatre in Dorchester, the historic Sherborne Abbey, Castle, and Gardens, and the iconic Gold Hill, famously featured in the Hovis bread advert.
