MesaStila Resort and Spa is one of the best spa resorts in Indonesia. Sugeng Sugiantoro, the General Manager of MesaStila Resort and Spa has been deeply involved in the hotel and tourism industry since 1992 and started his career in some international chain hotels in Lombok, Bali, and Java. Sugeng Sugiantoro has shared the ten best things to do at MesaStila Resort and Spa, with us.

MesaStila Resort and Spa focuses on luxury yet keeps traditional, local, and wholesome experiences intact. They have created complimentary, scheduled, in-house activities for their guests and their families to partake in, including morning yoga, coffee plantation tours, batik-making, dance lessons, village tours, a labyrinth sensation walk, kids’ gardening, and pet feeding of our fish, goats, pigeons, and rabbits during their stay with us. We have detailed our favourite activities below.

1. Relax By The Infinity Pool

The infinity pool at MesaStila Resort and Spa is an iconic feature. Located on the edge of a stunning volcanic crater, the pool offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The pool is designed in a traditional Balinese style with a shallow and deep end, allowing guests to choose their own swimming experience. The pool is made from natural stone and is surrounded by lush tropical greenery. The pool’s infinity edge creates a stunning visual effect of the water extending beyond the horizon.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy a variety of activities, such as swimming laps, relaxing in the sun, or taking a refreshing dip in the cool waters. The pool is heated for year-round enjoyment, allowing guests to make the most of their stay at MesaStila Resort and Spa whenever they visit.

2. Walk The Labyrinth & Sensation Pathway

MesaStila Resort and Spa offers a Labyrinth Sensation Walk which uses reflexology’s physical healing with their Labyrinth’s mental calm.

The Labyrinth demands a focus of being in the present. The essence of which is that in concentrating on the point that you are walking, not looking too far ahead or behind, can help to achieve a contemplative state and a single-minded awareness of being in the now!

Thousands of smooth pebbles are laid out in different patterns to stimulate and massage all the reflex points on the soles of the feet in various ways, linking through meridian lines and energetic pathways to organs and other parts of the boy. This reflexology helps to heal and restore the body.

Walk in bare feet with a slow but deliberate walk, taking small steps and feeling all the sensations along the walkway. If you find that certain types of stones are more painful, your intention can be to allow the soreness to slip away and to remember the phrase “This Too Shall Pass” – letting go of the discomfort and delighting in the more pleasant feelings that come in other parts of this walk. There is no recommended time of day to undertake the sensation walk, though it is beneficial to take a walk that lasts 10-minutes or more and drink plenty of water afterward.

3. Yoga

The yoga classes at MesaStila Resort and Spa focus on Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga. The classes feature a combination of guided meditation, breathing techniques, and physical postures that aim to improve flexibility, strength, and mental clarity. The classes are designed to be accessible to all levels of practitioners, from beginners to experienced yogis. The resort also offers private yoga classes, as well as yoga retreats and workshops.
