Book A Stay

Buenos Aires is one of the world’s most stylish and cosmopolitan cities. Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is situated in a residential neighborhood surrounded by luxury boutiques and in the heart of the French heritage district of Recoleta. Its location on a historic street is just a stone’s throw from MALBA (The Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires) and Puerto Madero.

Location

This visually arresting landmark holds its own in the eclectic Buenos Aires skyline by blending the 1930s charm of the French Palace Duhau with contemporary design and décor. Palacio Duhau is often described as the most beautiful hotel in Buenos Aries, and it is easy to believe this is true. This handsome building stands out among many others in the Recoleta district, which is stuffed full of palaces.

Style & Character

The interior is elegant but comfortable, with a range of public rooms of different sizes and styles and, unusually, an underground corridor linking the two buildings (very welcome in rainy weather). All rooms are stylish, and furnishings complement the building’s history. Everywhere is well-maintained, and fresh and impressive modern art is dotted throughout.

Rooms

Guest rooms at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires are well furnished, comfortable, and spacious, with a large and stylish bathroom. Some rooms have a rather nice small balcony or terrace. For complete peace and quiet, request a room with a palace view which gives you a beautiful vista over the gardens and makes you feel like you are in a secret green oasis in the center of the busy city of Buenos Aires.

Service & Facilities

The service in this particular Park Hyatt is extraordinary. Expect staff members to greet you by name during your stay (always impressive). Expect the little touches that make the difference; if you have to leave early, the staff will arrange hot coffee and pastries, especially for you, in the lobby. Some guests have even reported that the staff in the dining room remembered where they had sat a whole year before. The staff seemed genuinely proud of this hotel, adding an indefinable lift to this luxury experience.

Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is also home to the Ahín Wellness & Spa for rejuvenating spa & massage treatments.

If, like me, a swim helps to reset your body clock, then the 25m pool here will delight you. It is a proper lap pool at just the right temperature and is located in a stylish minimalist room.

Food & Drink

The dining choices are varied at Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, and all have a good reputation. Duhau Restaurante & Vinoteca is the main restaurant of the Palace and offers sophisticated Argentinean cuisine with contemporary style and flawless service. Gioia Restaurante & Terraces offers spectacular views of the Palace and the garden.

Service is available throughout the day, and an extensive seating area on its terrace provides for “al fresco” dining. Piano Nobile Salones is the nerve center of the Palace and where you start the day with breakfast facing the garden. Small dishes and elegant snacks are available throughout the day, with special emphasis on afternoon tea. Finally, the atmospheric Oak Bar is perfect for a nightcap and features a wood-burning fireplace and a terrace overlooking the hotel garden.

Conclusion

At the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, you will find impeccable rooms in an attractive, historic building set amidst peaceful and lush gardens. Your experience here may well be your best hotel experience in Argentina.
