Sir Nikolai Hotel, Hamburg, a Member of Design Hotels™ can be found on Hamburg’s Nikolaifleet waterfront, Sir Nikolai is located between the Altstadt (Old Town) and the regenerating, super-modern HafenCity district to the south.
The luxury boutique hotel has curated art, vintage rugs, and polished marble throughout and is next door to one of Hamburg’s oldest churches, Sankt Katharinen. When guests are not retreating to one of the hotel’s 94 luxurious guestrooms, they can relax with a cocktail by a fireplace in the library or by a second fireplace on the patio.
2. Hamburg Marriott Hotel
While the Hamburg Marriott Hotel is not my favorite hotel in Hamburg it probably does have the best executive club lounge. The food within this club lounge is delicious. Breakfast includes bacon, sausages, eggs, smoked salmon, cereals, pastries, fresh rolls, fresh fruit, juices, yogurts, etc.
There are cakes in the afternoon and soft and alcoholic drinks available in the fridges throughout the day. From 5:30, nice nibbles are spread out like Sushi, more smoked salmon, small canapés, two hot items, salad, veggies, cheese and cold cuts, and delicious desserts. Wine and beer are also free in this club lounge.
Personally, we prefer the Park Hyatt overall, which has a particularly good location and also features in our best club lounges in Hamburg.
3. Westin Hamburg
The Westin Hamburg Hotel offers 244 rooms and suites with spectacular views with floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms include the Heavenly® Bed and Heavenly® Bath.
