We review hotels in Hamburg with the best executive club lounges. The best hotels in Hamburg include Hamburg Marriott Hotel, Park Hyatt Hamburg, and Westin Hamburg.
Hamburg is best between April and May (Spring) or September through November (Autumn), right before or directly after the summer high tourist season. At this time of year, there are fewer tourists and mild temperatures.
Hamburg Airport is about 25 minutes away from the city center by car, taxi, or S-Bahn, and the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) is within a five-minute walk of the hotel, the Park Hyatt, which is convenient.
1. Hamburg Marriott Hotel
While the Hamburg Marriott Hotel is not my favorite hotel in Hamburg it probably does have the best executive club lounge. The food within this club lounge is particularly good. Breakfast includes bacon, sausages, eggs, smoked salmon, cereals, pastries, fresh rolls, fresh fruit, juices, yogurts, etc.
There are cakes in the afternoon and soft and alcoholic drinks available in the fridges throughout the day. From 5:30, nice nibbles are spread out like Sushi, more smoked salmon, small canapés, two hot items, salad, veggies, cheese and cold cuts, and delicious desserts. Wine and beer are also free in this club lounge.
2. Park Hyatt Hamburg
The Park Hyatt Hamburg is my favorite hotel in Hamburg with a great pool and a central location in a stylish undercover shopping mall. It exists directly onto the main shopping street and is 5 minutes walk from the station, so it is in an excellent location and offers spacious rooms, but it needs a refurbishment.
There is a club lounge on the seventh floor in an open area with wooden floors. It is open for coffee and soft drinks all day and cakes in the afternoon. In the evening, there are light bites and complimentary alcohol.
If you are traveling here for leisure, try to book at the weekend as the weekend rates are often very low (sometimes as low as 150 Euros a night). It is worth noting that most rooms look out over a courtyard with no view but also no traffic noise.
3. Westin Hamburg
The Westin Hamburg Hotel offers 244 rooms and suites with spectacular views with floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms include the Heavenly® Bed and Heavenly® Bath.
Overlooking the city’s HafenCity district and its waterways on the eighth floor, The Blick Bar is a particular highlight. It provides a social space for guests and visitors to enjoy cocktails and refreshments. Spread over 1,300 m², the Westin Hamburg Spa includes a Westin WORKOUT® studio, a 20-meter indoor pool, six therapy rooms, and a range of thermal facilities. It also has a Westin Club Lounge on the 19th floor with great views and serves breakfast and snacks, and drinks throughout the day.
There is also a Renaissance and a Le Meridien in Hamburg, but neither of these hotels offers an executive club lounge.
