2. Raffles Singapore

Opened in 1887, this luxury five-star boutique hotel in Singapore has become an icon that epitomises the romance of the Far East with an intoxicating blend of luxury, history and colonial design.

10. Rendezvous Hotel in Singapore

This hotel is not quite at the level of the boutique hotels above but it remains an excellent choice in an excellent location with a cheaper price tag. The club lounge at the Rendezvous Hotel in Singapore is a decent size with a decent eating area. Gain access by booking a club room which is located at the top of the hotel near the lounge. Because these rooms are at the top of the hotel they have a better view than the rest of the rooms in the hotel. Breakfast is limited but of high-quality. Canapés snacks and drinks are also available in the evening including alcoholic drinks like wine beer and spirits.

Rendezvous hotel is an A.R.T. inspired boutique hotel. The hotel is located at the start of Bras Basah Road, Close to Raffles hotel and within walking distance of Orchard Road where all the shops are located. Alternatively, if it is too hot and humid, you can take public transport from right outside the hotel to Orchard Road. The Bras Basah Bencoolen MRT station is just outside the hotel. The MRT Station means that it’s easy to get around and visit the exclusive Marina Bay Sands hotel and the other iconic landmarks of Singapore.

Each floor in the hotel has a different arty style so not all rooms are the same even though they are a similar size. The room decor is largely mushroom and cream but the hotel has added some brightly coloured furnishings which is “juj” the look. Bathrooms have also been refurbished and look classy.
