Book A Hotel

Joining Leading Hotels of the World’s (LHW) Leaders Club Loyalty Program is one of the easiest ways to get free nights, upgrades, and receive free VIP experiences at luxury hotels. Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) is one of the largest luxury hotel collections in the world.

Standard Membership

You buy your standard membership of the LHW Leaders Club Loyalty Program, which has an annual fee of $150 USD and will get you the following benefits:

  • One complimentary night at an LHW hotel for every five completed stays
  • Complimentary continental breakfast for two each day (from my experience, at most LHW hotels this is the full breakfast)
  • One category room upgrade (subject to availability)
  • Complimentary internet access
  • Early check-in / late check-out considerations
  • Welcome gift at each LHW hotel (worth around €100 EUR)
  • Exclusive members-only offers and rates

Unlimited Membership

Unlimited membership is the program’s premium tier. A $1,200 USD annual fee will get you the following benefits in addition to the above benefits:

  • A free night after four qualifying stays (instead of 5)
  • Complimentary one-way airport to hotel transfers in 30 cities only. Cities included are: Amsterdam, Bangkok, Barcelona, Berlin, Boston, Dubai, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Honolulu, Houston, Las Vegas, London, Madrid, Miami, Milan, Montreal, Moscow, Munich, New York, Paris, Philadelphia, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Singapore, Toronto, Vienna, Washington D.C., and Zurich
  • Early check-in when available
  • Guaranteed late check-out
  • Priority status for a one-category room upgrade
  • Three complimentary gifted Leaders Club memberships for your family
  • A PriorityPass card which provides access to over 700 airport VIP lounges worldwide
  • Welcome gift at each LHW hotel
  • Exclusive members-only offers and rates

The most valuable benefits of Leaders Club Unlimited, in my opinion, are the airport transfer (but this is only relevant in certain cities), Guaranteed late check-out (4:00 pm), Priority status for a one-category room upgrade, and the free night after four qualifying stays (instead of 5). I have written in more detail about whether it is worth becoming a Leaders Club Unlimited member.

To take advantage of the “get one free night with every 5 stays offer” (or for every 4 if you are an Unlimited member) you can book a few paid stays at cheaper properties or in the lower season, and then you can redeem your free award night at an ultra-expensive property. In reality, there are many hotels that block the use of these stay certificates, particularly in high season (e.g. all 3 LHW hotels in Monaco), so make sure your planned “expensive” redemption hotel actually accepts these redemption nights on the dates you want before diving in.

It is worth remembering that Leaders Club members do not earn hotel points for their expenses at LHW hotels.

Conclusion

I am a huge fan of Leading Hotels of the World. I regularly stay in the Hermitage Monte Carlo and the Royal Riviera in Cap Ferrat. If you are a frequent traveler making 5+ stays at Leading Hotels per anum, it may well be worth joining Leaders Club and booking via their website.

If you stay in Leading Hotels of the World properties less than 5x per annum, you may instead be interested in booking the same hotels for the same rates via our Luxury Travel Concierge. We offer similar benefits as above, with the exception of the free night for every 4-5 stays.

What makes us more appealing to the less frequent traveler is that our concierge service is free, so you will not have to pay the $150+ USD fee.
