You don’t get much more idyllic than the tropical getaway of Samabe Bali Suites & Villas with a private beach just a minutes’ walk away in the Nusa Dua region of Bali.
Location
The resort lies on top of the picturesque cliffs of southern Nusa Dua in Bali, Indonesia. Nusa Dua is an exclusive beach enclave home to world-class hotels, an upmarket shopping complex and a luxurious 18-hole golf course, plus, of course, those serene, white-golden sandy beaches; this area is basically luxury travel personified! This excellent location also means that you are just a 30-minute transfer from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Style & Character
Scattered amid the tropical rainforest-covered terraces are the beautiful Balinese-style thatched villas, all positioned just so to make the most of the ocean views. Privacy is highly valued here, as is space. The interiors are stylish, contemporary and classy, with a lovely hint of the Balinese.
Service & Facilities
Days here are spent lazing by the outdoor pool, dipping your toes into the warm sands of the private beach and relaxing with a treatment at Thalasso spa. There’s also a gym and unlimited non-motorised water sport so if the pace slows too much you can pick things right up again! Choose from scuba diving, snorkelling, catamaran sailing, diving, a glass boat trip, kayaking or simply fishing by the beach. You can also borrow bikes, play tennis, try a Thai cookery class, take a yoga class or enjoy a Balinese cultural activity.
Service is king here and that’s exactly how they treat you. They are courteous, incredibly efficient (the place is immaculate) and genuinely friendly.
Rooms
All the usual luxury travel amenities are very much in evidence; free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, a terrace or balcony and coffeemakers, but there’s also those staggering ocean views and 24-hour personalised Butler Service which really elevates the offering here. There’s a lot of flexibility in your accommodation choices; you can opt for all-inclusive, standard (which still includes complimentary breakfast, soft drinks and afternoon tea!) or honeymoon benefits; you can choose to have a private or not (though really, what’s the choice here?!) and of course you can choose from 39 suites or 42 luxury villas. The Ocean Pool Villas would get our vote, but really, you can’t go wrong.
Food & Drink
There are lots of fabulous dining options here (delectable fine-dining, relaxed al-fresco dining, a pool bar and lounge bar) but it’s the chance to dine in a beach cave that got us the most excited! A truly unique, incredibly romantic and totally unforgettable experience.
