Book A Hotel

EuroStar is currently running a 10-day flash sale which will end on May 18, 2017. The sale includes 75,000 one-way tickets to Paris, Brussels, Calais, and Lille from London, England. The normal price of these tickets is £58 GBP to £69 GBP, but you can pick a sale ticket up for as little as £29 GBP.

These tickets, which must be booked before the end of the day on May the 18th, 2017, are available for travel between June 6 and August 31. There are 45,000 tickets available for traveling to Paris and 30,000 available for travel to Brussels, Calais, or Lille.

You can also travel to a selection of European cities with EuroStar at only a slightly higher cost. For Antwerp, Bruges, or Ghent, the cost is £35 GBP. For sunny Avignon, Lyon, and Marseille, the cost will be a bargain at £45 GBP – £49 GBP, depending on which destination you choose. Of course, the trip takes longer than flying, but then again, you don’t have to get to the airport, as you can leave from central London.

I couldn’t resist pricing up a trip to Nice mid June. The cost comes in at £79 GBP (bargain!), leaving London at 5:40 am (ouch!) and getting into Nice at 4:01 pm (Paris Gare De Lyon to Nice Ville will be on SNCF). By comparison, travelling the same route in Business Premier which I have reviewed is £258 GBP one way.

And where should you stay on the Cote D’Azur? If budgets allow, life doesn’t get better than the Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat by Four Seasons. If you are on a tighter budget, hop on a train to Monte Carlo and pop into the hotel Columbus in Monaco which is much more reasonably priced.

It is worth mentioning that even if you are traveling in standard class, you get free access to the Club Lounge at St Pancras Station if you hold an American Express Platinum card.
