Etihad Airways has opened a new first and business class lounge at New York’s JFK International Airport. Located after the security checkpoint in Terminal 4, this lounge features the new “Facets of Abu Dhabi” design theme, with colours reflecting the varying sandy hues of the UAE landscape.

Lounge amenities include a sculptural showcase bar and lounge, offering standard label drinks, cocktails (and mocktails) developed in partnership with Fluid Movement. There is also an a la carte menu and a selection of buffet food on offer. Bathrooms have showers and changing rooms and there are also dedicated male and female prayer rooms, a library and luggage storage facilities.

A private area is also available exclusively for guests in The Residence – offering a higher level of service similar to the Savoy-trained butlers onboard the A380.

James Hogan, president and chief executive of Etihad Airways said: “The opening of Etihad Airways’ new First and Business Class Lounge at New York’s JFK International Airport reinforces our commitment to investing in the travel experience and providing our guests with the highest levels of comfort, luxury and world-class hospitality at every point in their journey – on the ground and in the air.”

This John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport Lounge adds to the airline’s premium lounges available throughout the world and is part of the airline’s strategic lounge development plan. This is the second Etihad Airways’ lounge opening within the U.S. following the launch of Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport.
