This auction is for a stunning Michele Benjamin Sterling Silver Bee Pendant Necklace from Michele’s Sterling Silver Collection. The artistically unique style of the sterling silver Whitney Bee dainty necklace is a work of art in its own right. Made in New York and created in 925 sterling silver in a high mirror polish, with lustrous craftsmanship and luminosity, the Whitney bee is suspended with a ring and showcased on a sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp. Michele Benjamin “Bee” has been spotted being worn by Hollywood star, Susan Sarandon and can be purchased from the Whitney Shop, Whitney Museum, NYC, and Bruce Museum Store, Greenwich, CT.

Symbolism: The “Bee” is representative of the extended Whitney family, and the hive is symbolic of the Whitney Museum, a home for artists and art lovers; the real beehive located on the rooftop of the Whitney Museum produces “Flora” honey, which “sweetens” the art world and our daily lives.
