Stay includes: complimentary daily tiered breakfast, parking and Afternoon Tea for two at the Pendray Teahouse. Stay is valued at approximately $950 CAD / £560 GBP / $730 USD*. Please note all additional purchases including further meals, drinks, activities, excursions etc. must be paid for by the winner separately.
Auction stay dates: to be booked in advance and taken between 01 January 2020 to 30 December 2021, excluding stays between 01 June to 30 September, subject to availability.
The Pendray Inn & Teahouse offers a boutique bed and breakfast experience in a beautiful historic Victorian mansion, whose old world charm and rich elegance will make you feel like you have stepped back in time to a more romantic era. The Pendray Inn and Teahouse, formerly known as The Gatsby Mansion, is located in downtown Victoria’s Inner Harbour, the tourism hub of British Columbia’s capital city and just minutes’ walk from the heart of downtown.
The Pendray Inn and Teahouse is over 100 years old and is surrounded with landscaped gardens, wandering pathways and pretty fountains. This magnificent Victorian manor has been lovingly and beautifully transformed into a boutique hotel, ideal for those in search of a little old time romance with impeccable service.
The Inn features nine guest rooms and suites each with its own individual old English décor, style and charm and the interior of the mansion boasts beautiful woodwork and stained glass windows as well as crystal chandeliers.
Victorian style furnishings, newspapers, books, complimentary wifi and a tea and coffee maker are available for guests to enjoy throughout their stay.
The winner and their guest will be staying in one of the nine guestrooms and suites. Each of which is completely unique, with its own special personality and color scheme based on a precious gem. Traditional décor and antique furnishings are blended beautifully with modern amenities like high-speed wifi access and flat-screen TVs. Additional in-room amenities include a French press coffee maker and a tea kettle, as well as premium toiletries in the bathroom. Some accommodations boast breathtaking views of Victoria’s Inner Harbour. As part of your stay, you will enjoy a hot premium tiered breakfast each morning, served in the hotel’s Pendray Teahouse, which is a unique and delicious breakfast experience. The winner will also enjoy a traditional, all homemade Victorian afternoon tea made with the finest, locally sourced ingredients in the dark wood-paneled tea rooms while watching the ships come and go from Victoria’s Inner Harbour.
Please note the winner will be required to confirm their reservation with a credit card. The Pendray Inn and Teahouse does not offer wheelchair access or elevators; however, the staff are pleased to provide complimentary luggage carrying day or night.
