Four Seasons Nevis and Park Hyatt St Kitts are both luxury hotels in the Caribbean, known for their superb beaches, gorgeous setting and exceptional service. We outline the differences between these hotels below to help you determine which of these you should choose.
1. Best Location: Four Seasons Nevis or Park Hyatt St Kitts
When comparing the locations of the Four Seasons Nevis and the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, both properties offer stunning settings.
The Four Seasons Nevis is situated on the picturesque Pinney’s Beach, providing guests with a tranquil and idyllic Caribbean retreat. Nestled on the western coast of Nevis, the resort offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and the island’s lush volcanic landscape, including the iconic Nevis Peak.
This location is perfect for travelers seeking a peaceful escape. It is surrounded by natural beauty and offers easy access to the island’s rich history and culture. Guests can enjoy the pristine beach, various water activities, and the serene ambiance of Nevis, which is known for its relaxed pace and unspoiled environment.
The Four Seasons in Nevis has a peaceful vibe but is centrally located for action. The town and its local restaurants are just a 5-minute drive away, so there’s more to do outside the resort than the Four Seasons than the Park Hyatt.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts is located on the southeast peninsula of St. Kitts, within the Christophe Harbour development. This location provides views of the Caribbean Sea and the neighboring island of Nevis. There are no restaurants outside the resort nearby. This resort area is very isolated. Most dining and activities are a 40-minute drive away. Nonetheless, the resort offers a sophisticated beachfront experience with plenty to do within the resort.
2. Style & Character
The Four Seasons Nevis exudes a classic Caribbean charm with a blend of elegance and relaxed luxury. The resort is designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings, featuring colonial-style architecture with gingerbread trim, wooden shutters, and expansive verandas.
The décor has been recently refurbished and combines traditional Caribbean elements with modern touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lush, tropical landscaping and the resort’s beachfront location on Pinney’s Beach enhance its tranquil and idyllic ambiance.
The Four Seasons Nevis emphasizes a connection to the local culture and environment, offering activities that include exploring Nevis’ history, nature trails, and local culinary experiences. The overall style is timeless and sophisticated, appealing to guests who appreciate a sense of place, a connection to the destination’s heritage and barefoot luxury.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts offers a contemporary and sleek design that reflects modern luxury while still paying homage to its Caribbean setting. The resort features minimalist architecture with clean lines, open spaces, and a neutral color palette accented by natural materials like wood and stone. Pathways around the resort are angular and are bordered by reflective zen ponds. Rooms are also minimalist and very Park Hyatt in style.
The interiors are stylish and chic, with a focus on comfort and understated elegance. The Park Hyatt emphasizes a modern aesthetic, with spacious rooms and public areas that offer panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the surrounding landscape. The resort’s design incorporates elements inspired by the local culture but with a more subtle and sophisticated approach. The ambiance is refined and serene, appealing to guests who prefer contemporary luxury with a touch of Caribbean flavor.
Overall, the Four Seasons Nevis offers a more traditional and culturally immersive experience, while the Park Hyatt St. Kitts presents a modern and refined luxury. The choice between the two depends on whether you prefer classic Caribbean elegance or sleek contemporary style.

3. Pools
The Four Seasons Nevis boasts a collection of pools that offer diverse and luxurious experiences for guests. The resort’s three main pools cater to different preferences and needs. Overall, while both resorts offer exceptional pool facilities, the Four Seasons Nevis provides a more diverse range of pool experiences catering to different age groups and preferences, whereas the Park Hyatt St. Kitts focuses on modern elegance and sophistication with its beautifully designed pools.
4. Beach
The Four Seasons Nevis is located on the pristine Pinney’s Beach, one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful and serene beaches. This extensive stretch of golden sand is complemented by clear, calm waters, making it ideal for swimming, snorkeling (although the snorkelling isn’t noteworthy), and other water activities.
The beach is framed by lush tropical greenery and offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and nearby islands. The Four Seasons enhances the beach experience with luxurious amenities, including comfortable loungers, attentive beachside service, and a variety of water sports equipment available for guests. The tranquil and picturesque setting of Pinney’s Beach creates a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty of Nevis.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts is situated on Banana Bay, a scenic and tranquil beach with powdery white sand and turquoise waters. The beach at the Park Hyatt offers a more secluded and intimate experience, surrounded by the stunning landscapes of St. Kitts and Nevis.
Guests can enjoy various water activities, such as kayaking and paddleboarding, or simply relax on the beach with the resort’s comfortable loungers and excellent service. The resort’s contemporary design and thoughtful amenities enhance the beachside ambiance, making it a luxurious spot for both relaxation and recreation. The beautiful views of Nevis Island and the calm, clear waters make Banana Bay an exceptional beach destination.
Both resorts offer exceptional beach experiences, but the Four Seasons Nevis stands out for its expansive and well-equipped Pinney’s Beach, while the Park Hyatt St. Kitts excels with its more intimate and tranquil Banana Bay. The choice between the two depends on whether you prefer a larger, more activity-filled beach or a quieter, more secluded setting.
Best Four Seasons In The Caribbean: Ocean Club Bahamas Vs Nevis Vs Anguilla
Four Seasons has three exclusive hotels in the Caribbean, Four Seasons Resort Nevis Vs. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla Vs. the newly opened The Ocean Club, Bahamas, A Four Seasons Resort, but which is the best in the Caribbean? Four Seasons has had a presence in the Caribbean for more than 25 years, having operated Four Seasons Resort Nevis since 1990. Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Anguilla was the second resort in the company’s Caribbean collection. The Ocean Club, Bahamas, A Four Seasons Resort is the third.
5. Rooms
The Four Seasons Nevis rooms have a traditional colonial feel and have been recently refurbished. Windows have colonial slatted shutters to block out the light, wooden balconies, or decking, and the color palette has a hint of green that runs through everything, blending with the greenery from the resort. I would describe the decor as timeless.
We particularly like the ground-floor rooms, as you can step out of your rooms onto the lawns and make your way down to the beach or over to the pool.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts has very modern rooms with white walls and large bathrooms with stand-alone bathtubs. The floors are white stone, and the white decor is punctuated by woods and greenery. The rooms feel like Park Hyatt rooms plonked in the Caribbean. They don’t have my Caribbean warmth, but if you like minimalist modern design, which we do, the rooms here offer a stunning contrast to the beachy vibe you will find down by the shoreline.
6. Golf
Four Seasons Nevis guests can play on the fairly decent Robert Trent Jones golf course. The nearest golf course to the Park Hyatt is the Marriott Course in Frigate Bay, around a half-hour taxi ride away. Neither course is outstanding, but the Nevis course is more convenient, making Four Seasons Nevis the better hotel for golf.
10 Least Expensive Four Seasons Hotels In The World
Some of the most expensive Four Seasons hotels, and possibly the most amazing in historic glamor, are also some of the cheapest if you book in low season. Equally, some lesser-known cities like Budapest offer wonderful Four Seasons hotels at incredibly low rates. The Four Seasons brand of hotels doesn’t discount its rooms, but you can sometimes buy a packaged-up break with free nights. Equally, if you book on unpopular nights, such as winter weekends in European cities, or Sunday nights at hotels like Four Seasons Hampshire, you can pick up a much cheaper room rate.
6. Conclusion
The Four Seasons Nevis offers classic Caribbean charm with a blend of traditional elegance and modern luxury. It is set on the expansive and picturesque Pinney’s Beach, ideal for a serene and activity-filled getaway. It features diverse pool experiences, a strong connection to local culture, and excellent family-friendly amenities.
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts provides a sleek, contemporary luxury experience with a focus on modern design, set on the tranquil and intimate Banana Bay. It emphasizes sophistication, with beautifully designed pools, a serene beach atmosphere, and high-end amenities perfect for those seeking a refined and secluded retreat.
While both resorts are amazing, we slightly prefer the style at the Park Hyatt, but the warmth of the staff wins through at the Four Seasons. Four Seasons hotels tend to do this. The staff make you feel like part of the family, and we like being part of that family, so Four Seasons has the edge overall.
