Book A Hotel

Four Seasons, Breakers, and Eau Palm Peach are all luxury hotels in glorious Palm Beach, but which is best? We think Four Seasons beats the other two hands down. It is an intimate boutique hotel compared to Breakers, and it has warm staff and wonderful food right on the palm-spread sandy shoreline. However, we investigate in more detail below to share exactly why we prefer Four Seasons.

1. Best Location: Four Seasons Vs. Breakers Vs. Eau Palm Peach

When comparing the locations of the Four Seasons, Breakers, and Eau Palm Peach, Four Seasons and Breakers are close to renowned shopping destinations like Worth Avenue and cultural attractions such as the Norton Museum of Art, offering convenience and accessibility to Palm Beach’s upscale amenities and vibrant social scene.

Four Seasons Palm Beach is one of the best Four Seasons hotels in Florida and has one of the best beaches of any Four Seasons hotel in the world.

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa is slightly removed from the main attractions of Palm Beach, but offers a complimentary shuttle service to Worth Avenue and other nearby destinations.

2. Style & Character

Each resort offers a distinct aesthetic when comparing the styles of the Four Seasons, The Breakers, and Eau Palm Beach.

The Four Seasons Palm Beach embodies a contemporary and sophisticated style, blending modern luxury with subtle, elegant touches that reflect its coastal surroundings. The resort’s design features clean lines, a neutral color palette, and luxurious materials, creating a serene and stylish ambiance.

When choosing between the Four Seasons Resort and The Breakers in Palm Beach, both are highly regarded for their luxurious offerings but cater to slightly different tastes. Our favorite is the Four Seasons, as it feels more boutique and intimate, and its rooms are nicer. The Breakers is a sprawling resort with all the amenities you could possibly want, but it lacks the atmosphere of the Four Seasons. Find out more about how these two beachfront resorts compare below. Palm Beach is a place where palms form a portal to a warm, blue ocean.

The rooms and public spaces are designed with a sense of understated elegance, emphasizing comfort and tranquility. The Four Seasons is perfect if you’re a Four Seasons fan and like the vibes of a sandy beach and swaying palms. The whole resort seems to reflect this and because it is beautifully designed but quite compact, you very much feel like a member of the Four Seasons family when you’re staying here.

The Breakers Palm Beach is renowned for its grand and historic style, with Italian Renaissance-inspired architecture that exudes timeless luxury and opulence. The resort’s interior spaces are richly decorated with intricate details, including ornate ceilings, lavish chandeliers, and classic furnishings.

The expansive grounds here are huge, making the whole resort feel extravagant but a little impersonal. Imagine meticulously manicured gardens surrounding grand buildings and communal areas. To me, this hotel attracts the “golf club” and “country club” crowd. It is undoubtedly impressive but lacks the warmth and personal touch of the Four Seasons.

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa combines modern elegance with a playful and whimsical twist. The resort’s design incorporates vibrant colors, contemporary furnishings, and artistic touches that create a lively and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are designed to be both luxurious and comfortable, with a coastal-chic aesthetic that includes bold patterns and bright accents.

Eau Palm Beach is a gorgeous hotel but feels more dated in design and decor than Four Seasons, even though it was recently reimagined. The building design is not up to the minute, and they embrace blue patterned carpets, fussy headboards, and shell-like rounded sofa seats in the guest rooms. Add in slightly old-fashioned freeform pools and a bunch of chandeliers, and you get the picture. This is a beautiful hotel but it feels a little Dallas and 1990s.

In summary, when comparing the Four Seasons to The Breakers Palm Beach, Four Seasons offers contemporary sophistication and the Breakers exudes historic grandeur, and Eau Palm Beach presents elegance with a fussy twist. In my eyes, the best style is the Four Seasons every day of the week.

3. Pools

The Four Seasons Palm Beach features two stunning pools that cater to both relaxation and family fun. The resort’s main pool is an oceanfront infinity pool offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun in a serene environment.

There is also a dedicated family pool with a more playful atmosphere, ensuring that guests of all ages have a memorable experience. Both pools are complemented by luxurious amenities such as poolside cabanas, attentive service, and a poolside café, providing a seamless blend of comfort and luxury.

The Breakers Palm Beach boasts an impressive collection of four oceanfront pools, each offering a unique experience. The centerpiece is the expansive Main Pool, surrounded by luxurious cabanas and lush landscaping, creating a vibrant and elegant setting.

The Breakers also features a dedicated Family Pool with a zero-entry design for safe and easy access for children and two quieter, more secluded pools for adults looking for a tranquil retreat. The resort’s Mediterranean-style Beach Club adds to the allure, offering additional lounging options and stunning ocean views. The variety and grandeur of The Breakers’ pool complex make it stand out.

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa offers two main pools that emphasize relaxation and luxury in a picturesque tropical setting. The resort’s Adult Pool is a serene oasis designed for those seeking tranquility, featuring private cabanas, attentive service, and a calm ambiance.

The Family Pool is lively and fun, equipped with water features and surrounded by lush gardens, making it ideal for guests of all ages. Both pools sit right on the oceanfront, but they feel slightly dated in design compared to the pool at the Four Seasons.

For us, the Four Seasons has the most stylish and welcoming pool areas, although the Breakers has more choice in their variety of pools.

The best Four Seasons hotels & resorts in the world include Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, Four Seasons Lanai and Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii, Four Seasons Surf Club on Miami Beach, Four Seasons Costa Rica, Four Seasons Los Cabos At Costa Palmas, Four Seasons Palm Beach, and Four Seasons Hampshire. To be honest, we wanted to include several other properties in this article, but we would have to stray into the realms of the top 20 or 30 or even top 100 properties to include all our favorite Four Seasons hotels. There are just so many great ones!

4. Beach

The Four Seasons in Palm Beach offers a prime oceanfront location on a pristine beach stretch along the exclusive barrier island. This location provides guests with direct access to the beautiful sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Breakers, also located in Palm Beach, boasts a historic and iconic oceanfront setting, characterized by its grand Italian Renaissance-style architecture and lush, manicured gardens. Guests can enjoy direct access to a private beach, along with a host of recreational amenities, including multiple pools, golf courses, and tennis courts.

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, located in nearby Manalapan, offers a more secluded and intimate oceanfront retreat nestled amidst tranquil gardens and swaying palm trees. The resort’s peaceful setting provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle.

All three breachfronts are amazing. The beachfront setup and service is best at the Four Seasons.

5. Rooms

All Four Seasons Palm Beach rooms are large and offer terraces or balconies. Their pastel decor feels bright and modern, and they all have a classic and generous Four Seasons bathroom. We love the rooms here. They remind me of sunshine and palm trees.

The rooms at the Breakers feel less stylish. Some have balconies, but some do not. The ones with balconies are much brighter because of their larger windows, but the rooms feel a touch drab.

Sorry, but I just don’t like the rooms at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa. It might be my horror at blue patterned carpets, fussy headboards, and the shell sofa in a style that was so popular in the 1990s that fuel my dislike. This decor just doesn’t not appeal to me, so I’m not keen on these rooms.

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa is typically cheaper than The Breakers and Four Seasons Palm Beach, possibly due to its more remote and less convenient location.
