Which Marriott Bonvoy hotels are the best in the world, organized by brand? Marriott now includes some amazing luxury brands, including Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari, EDITION, St. Regis, JW Marriott, Westin, Autograph Collection, and more. But which is the best Marriott hotel, and which is the best hotel within each brand?

For us, the best of the best has to be the Bulgari Milan. This tiny chic Marriott subsidiary hotel is just so achingly cool that it feels like it’s living inside the pages of Vogue. Add in a sprinkle of trendy Italian flair and joi de vivre, and you really have the best Marriott hotel with possibly the best Marriott bar in the world.

We are also serious fans of Ritz-Carlton hotels, and their Maui hotel is hard to beat for its tropical luxury. It probably has the best club lounge in the world and definitely offers up the best club lounge in Hawaii.

The Ritz=Carlton Maui at Kapalua is situated in paradise-like grounds full of flowers that offer every color of the rainbow and lurid green lawns. This resort has numerous pools, and the grounds meander right down to a beautiful and peaceful Hawaiian beach.

The recent refurbishment of this hotel means that the rooms and communal areas feel modern, with contemporary furnishings speckled with Hawaiian carvings and contemporary artwork. Stylish wood flooring and extravagant flower arrangements bring the outside in.

Spectacularly placed fire pits are positioned to enjoy the setting sun and ever-changing vistas. Yes, this Ritz-Carlton, in particular, is heavenly.

EDITION is another ultra-stylish Marriott brand that is so cool that it’s confusing. Marriott has just opened a Bulgari and an EDITION in Rome. The best place to stay out of these two luxury hotel options remains to be seen, but I can guarantee that most guests will be blown away by their stylish sophistication.

St. Regis is the one to pick if you want a Marriott hotel that often embraces historic elegance. We visited and loved their St. Regis property in Florence.

Then there is the more generic but luxurious JW Marriott, which tends to offer a great club lounge and generously sized rooms, although this brand often features more generic decor. JW Marriott Venice is our favorite JW Marriott hotel and is completely unique on its own private island.

I will finish with the Marriott Luxury Collection which has some real crackers in its umbrella. We will be visiting the new Hotel Matild Palace – A Luxury Collection Hotel in Budapest this summer so will report back on this stunning new property.

Remember to book any luxury hotels via our luxury travel concierge for extra free benefits. You also get all your usual Marriott Bonvoy points and perks when you book via our concierge.
