1. The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort

This is our top Marriott branded pick for the Maldives, which is in a magical part of the world. As you swoop in on your seaplane transfer, The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort appears as a mammoth lobster on the azure waters. This private island getaway, remote even for the Maldives, was designed for today’s experiential traveler, from its daring architecture to its dive center, where marine biologists catalog the rich biodiversity (dolphins and mantas have been spotted). Hop on a Jet Ski or Seabob, get a lava shell massage in the overwater spa, try antigravity yoga, or charter the Azimut yacht for a sunset cruise. Each of the 77 villas has its own butler for personal pampering.

2. The St. Regis Venice

With an Avant-garde design, The St. Regis Venice, which is often considered the best Marriott in Venice, merges striking, modern interiors with its historic provenance as the best address in the city. Flanked by the Grand Canal with views across iconic landmarks, the hotel has stood in this privileged position for over a century and a half.

If you want a modern and classy hotel with fantastic terraces, this is a great Marriott to pick. If you are after a property oozing history, you would do better choosing the Gritti Palace, and if you want your own private pool, pick the JW Marriott Venice.

The hotel is right in the center, within walking distance from pretty much everything, and just a minute’s walk from St. Mark’s Square via alleyways full of luxury boutiques. It has 129 guestrooms, 40 suites (some with a terrace), a garden terrace overlooking the canal, and a fitness center.

The communal areas in this newly launched hotel feel more modern than Venetian. The Italianate garden presents access to a range of dining and beverage options at Gio’s restaurant, the St. Regis Bar, and Arts Bar.

3. Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Puerto Rico

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is the best Marriott in Puerto Rico and one of the best Marriott hotels in the Caribbean. It has a secluded location, intimate accommodations, exclusive amenities, and personalized Embajador service.

With 115 oceanfront guestrooms spread across 50 acres and one mile of beach, this luxurious island sanctuary is encircled by coral reefs, blue Caribbean waters, and a lush tropical forest. The Ritz-Carlton Reserve was ‘grandfathered’ to be built on the former Laurance Rockefeller estate’s footprint, allowing for every guestroom and restaurant to rest directly on the beach, only steps from the sea.

4. Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is the best Marriott Bonvoy resort in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur and it really is an incredible resort. The retreat, which is one of just two Ritz-Carlton Reserve resorts in the wider Caribbean-Mexico region, is set in San Jose del Cabo on the Sea of Cortez.

The property includes 115 suites and villas, along with a massive TLee Spas-designed spa and an ultimate desert luxury ambiance. The mix of units consists of 87 rooms, 28 suites, and 42 villas, headlined by the 6,000-square-foot “Grand Reserve Villa.” Many of the suites and villas boast private plunge pools. All rooms have dark wood flooring, and terraces or balconies with glass surrounds, so railings do not disrupt the views of the ocean.

Our favorite room is the Oceanfront Pool Room, with a private plunge pool and ocean views. These rooms have windows that slide right back to open up completely, so the wooden floors stretch through the room out onto a large terrace, where loungers and an alfresco seating area with a table that looks out over the pool and to the ocean beyond.

Discover a beachfront escape in St. Thomas. The redesigned Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is the perfect place to encounter the beauty of the Virgin Islands in a new light. Be captivated by peerless turquoise Great Bay and verdant mountain views, endless beaches, and thrilling water sports.

9. Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel

Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Paris is one of the best Marriott hotels in Paris. It offers a Pierre-Yves Rochon-designed hotel experience and embraces the art deco and glamor of the 1920s.

Prince de Galles is located in the extremely smart Eighth Arrondissement of Paris. The hotel’s neighborhood is posh, and this hotel is in fine company with plenty of other equally luxurious hotels in the vicinity. Stay here, and you will find yourself next door to the ultra-luxury Four Seasons Hotel George V, as well as high-end boutiques and trendy restaurants. Just a few steps from the hotel is the iconic Champs-Elysée, and the Arc de Triomphe is about a 10-minute walk away, with the Eiffel Tower being around 20 minutes away on foot.

Rooms and suites are immaculately designed and appointed with home-like comforts; many offer sweeping views of the Paris skyline. While the base rooms are fairly small for a luxury hotel, the art deco theme is continued in the rooms with lots of mirrors, colors, and deco detailing, so you do feel like you are in glamorous Paris rather than in a generic hotel room.

The property has two restaurants, Bar Les Heures and Le Patio. Le Patio is charming and is located in a central courtyard offering palm trees and a decked terrace. Because this terrace is open air, this is a massive highlight if you visit Paris in the warmer season, from late spring through to early fall.

There is also a high-quality gym and a spa known as the Wellness Suite by Olivier Lecocq within the hotel. The spa also features a hammam.

10. Dokhan’s, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Dokhan’s, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is one of the best Marriott hotels in Paris for views if you want a real taste of the City of Light.

This beautiful but tiny hotel is utterly charming with wonderful staff. With just 45 rooms, the hotel is located in what used to be a mansion sandwiched on the road between the Arc de Triomphe and the Trocadero. Crucially, it is a short stroll from many significant sights, and the nearest Metro station is easy to get to and from. There are also plenty of local restaurants nearby to grab a bite to eat.

Small but almost perfect rooms and suites emulate chic Parisian apartments, with home-like amenities including complimentary Wi-Fi, pillowtop beds, complimentary smartphone usage, and premium Carita toiletries.

Have a seat in a velvet armchair and sip a drink at Bar Le Dokhan’s, Paris’ first cocktail bar. This Marriott-branded hotel does not have a club lounge but offers delightful Parisian charm and history. The restaurant serves a tremendous Parisian continental breakfast in the mornings and then transforms into a champagne bar in the evenings.

Pick a suite on the upper floors and wake up to a wonderful Eiffel Tower view. Stay here, and you will know that you are in Paris; there’s no mistaking the feel of this hotel, and that’s what makes it so unique.
