Book A Stay

Riga is often referred to as ‘the Pearl of the Baltic Sea.’ Explore this gem in regal sophistication by staying at the Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga, which is one of the best Kempinski hotels in the world.

Location

Originally built in the 19th century, this luxury hotel lies in the heart of the Latvian capital, perfect for discovering the historic Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or taking a stroll on the stunning beaches on Jurmala’s coastline, which lies just 30 30-minute drive away. Located opposite the National Opera House, all the main tourist attractions are just a stone’s throw away.

Style & Character

This elegant hotel is decked in marble, and the foyer offers grand pillars, even grander staircases, and seating areas perched on plush, luxurious rugs.

Rooms

The hotel boasts 141 luxury rooms and suites. The 100 rooms range from Superior to Deluxe and Opera rooms. Forty-one suites extend from Junior up to Presidential suites. Bathrooms have heated floors and include deep soaking tubs with Salvatore Ferragamo products.

Service & Facilities

The World Spa Awards have awarded Kempinski The Spa Latvia’s Best Hotel Spa 2023, and it offers a wide variety of beauty and wellness treatments. Spa facilities include six treatment rooms, an immaculate 16-meter-long swimming pool, and a health club with a fitness center.

Food & Drink

The hotel offers all-day dining, a rooftop restaurant, a bar, and a cigar lounge. Stage22 Bar & Restaurant has been awarded as Latvia’s Best Hotel Restaurant 2023, offering incredible Asian Fusion cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere with great music, attentive service, and carefully selected signature cocktails. Its open terrace is a particularly lovely venue to enjoy cocktails and fine dining overlooking the Latvian National Opera House and the city center.

Amber Restaurant is a lively, contemporary European restaurant serving a buffet breakfast and relaxed all-day dining. Amber’s live cooking stations and large show kitchen allow guests to see the talented chefs at work.

Breakfast at Amber is an extensive buffet with additional a la carte options. Like many Kempinski hotels including the Kempinski St. Moritz that we recently visited, the breakfast spread here is genuinely impressive and you will get free breakfast along with hotel credit and a room upgrade (subject to availability) if you book your stay here via our luxury travel concierge.

Finally, the Cigar Lounge is the perfect location for fine cigars, cognacs, and aromatic cocktails.

Conclusion

Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga is a refined and palatial hotel in the historic heart of Riga. This five star Kempinski is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious hotels in Riga.
