Book A Hotel

Which Mandarin Oriental executive club lounge is the best in the world? The Mandarin Oriental hotels in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Guangzhou, and Singapore all have excellent club lounges. We have outlined our top picks below.

It is worth mentioning that we offer free executive club lounge access at some InterContinental hotels if you want to experience the joy of a club lounge without paying extra for it. We offer free lounge access at the InterContinental London Park Lane, Paris Le Grand, and InterContinental New York Barclay. To get free lounge access, you must book via our luxury travel concierge.

This is a great perk because InterContinental Club lounges offer excellent full breakfasts with free a la carte breakfast options, snacks, and drinks throughout the day and a small buffet with canapes and complimentary alcoholic drinks and cocktails in the evenings.

Previously, we have reviewed the best Mandarin Oriental hotels and the cheapest Mandarin Oriental hotels if you want to delve deeper into this brand. We also personally reviewed the magnificent Mandarin Oriental Geneva, which doesn’t have a club lounge but is a great property nonetheless.

1. Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong

Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong has the best executive club lounge in our listing, as it is the newest and was fabulously refurbished in 2021. The hotel renovated its top floors with a new club lounge (pictured above) and refreshed its dining facilities.

The 23rd floor club lounge measures nearly 600 m² and offers lounge and dining areas, as well as a boardroom, with views overlooking Statue Square Garden. This club lounge features in our listing of the best club lounges in Hong Kong.

Soaring above the sea and secluded from the rest of the hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Club Level offers an elevated experience reserved for guests staying in Club Level rooms and suites. Among the additional amenities enjoyed by these club rooms is access to the Club Lounge, a dedicated space offering a library, a meeting room, complimentary culinary presentations, and personalized business services.

Club and Suite (except Deluxe Suite) guests enjoy 24-hour access to The Club Lounge, personalized check-in and check-out service, dedicated Club concierge service, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access. Guests may also enjoy a complimentary limousine drop-off service within the vicinity. Traditional afternoon tea is presented with compliments in The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge.

This Club Lounge welcomes guests below nine years of age between 6:30 am – 8:00 pm daily. We kindly ask that Club Lounge guests with children preserve a quiet and warm ambiance for everyone’s enjoyment.

Daily breakfast and four food and beverage presentations are included at Club Lounge. Each evening, there is a live station where the chef prepares a special dish, ranging from Peking duck, foie gras pancakes, steamed dumplings, laksa, Hong Kong-style noodles, etc. In addition, they offer complimentary signature blue sky champagne, relating to their view from 490 meters above sea level, and our signature calming longan tea in the evening.

2. Mandarin Oriental Singapore

Mandarin Oriental Singapore is a brilliant luxury hotel choice, not only for its club lounge but also for the incredible views from floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms. Your view will be either of the bay, the ocean, or the city. These views, along with the contemporary design with a stylish Oriental flair, make this luxury hotel a great choice.

This hotel is enormous, with 527 rooms and suites. The exclusive Oriental Club Lounge, located on the 19th floor, enjoys panoramic views of the Singapore skyline. The lounge has a contemporary Asian feel with floor-to-ceiling windows, wood floors, and elegant furnishings.

A nice feature of this hotel is the walkway that connects the hotel to The Marina Square Mall, which has loads of shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars. Theatres and the Suntec Conference and Exhibition Centre are also a short walk away. Orchard Road shops are about 15 minutes away by taxi.

The rooftop pool is an absolute highlight of this hotel, with comfy loungers, tropical plants dotted about, and fountains spurting into the pool area.

Guests on the four executive floors get access to The Oriental Club lounge, which is one of the best club lounges in Singapore. Within the lounge, guests can enjoy attractive benefits such as daily Champagne breakfast, evening cocktails, late check-out until 6:00 pm, complimentary internet access, a selection of three room types, and more.

They have a strict child policy here. The lounge is open to guests aged 12 years and older staying on their Club floor. Smart and casual attire is also required.

Is it worth paying for this club lounge? We always think there is great value in booking into a club room with lounge access, but if you want a better deal, you get free club lounge access at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore if you book via our concierge

3. Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

Book a Club Room at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, and you can access the cozy Mandarin Oriental Club Lounge. With floor-to-ceiling windows, wood-paneled walls, and marble floors, this luxurious Mandarin Oriental Club lounge offers an exclusive environment in the heart of the city.

This Club Lounge includes breakfast in the morning, a weekday lunch, a delicious afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. You also get the use of the Club Floor boardroom for two hours per day and the very useful benefit of five pieces of dry cleaning per day.

Unusually, if you have a child under 12 years old, you cannot use this lounge, as they will not be given access. When my son was little, we found Club Lounges a hugely useful space when we wanted to get out of our hotel room. Club lounges offer an informal and spacious area, which is usually child-friendly (subject to your child’s behavior!), so it is a real shame that this Club Lounge excludes young children.

If you have kids, you should opt for the Four Seasons lounge, which is reviewed in our best club lounges in Kuala Lumpur.

4. Mandarin Oriental Shanghai

The Mandarin Oriental Shanghai is a gorgeous luxury hotel located in Shanghai’s new Harbour City development, a skyscraper-dotted expanse of green in the heart of Pudong’s growing financial district, just minutes away from Shanghai IFC and the Shanghai World Financial Centre. It is one of the best club lounges in Shanghai.

Although the hotel is across the river from the historic city center, it is conveniently located for tourists because it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to Lujiazui metro station and some of Shanghai’s major sightseeing attractions (e.g., Pearl Tower).

The Mandarin Oriental Shanghai is located on the riverside. A one-minute stroll from the hotel entrance takes you to a beautiful riverside promenade lined by lush greenery and excellent restaurants.

Guests staying in one of their 44 suites receive complimentary Club Lounge access. Emulating the feel of a residential living room, the large yet intimate space features wood and marble flooring, a dining room, a library, and a wine bar, all of them with panoramic views of the Huangpu River and Lujiazui skyline. The views from this lounge are not as appealing as those at the two Four Seasons hotels, but as you can see from the lounge design pictured above, this is a top-notch executive lounge.

The dining room features table seating and provides access to a private dining room that can accommodate up to eight guests. The adjacent lounge area features a wine cabinet, bar, library, and conference room equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The club lounge offers breakfast, light lunches, and Afternoon Tea during the day, and later on, evening cocktails served with a selection of European and Asian snacks. The self-service bar is stocked with a range of wines, spirits, and soft drinks.

In the hotel’s basement, you will find recreational facilities with a wonderful Spa, a gym (with state-of-the-art equipment), a 25-meter indoor, stylish swimming pool (with jacuzzi), and an excellent spa.

5. Mandarin Oriental Dubai

Mandarin Oriental Dubai overlooks both the pristine waters of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s glittering skyline. Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is a stunning beachfront resort with an enviable Jumeirah Beach setting and offers one of the best club lounges in Dubai.

The spacious lounge features an open-plan kitchen, a drawing room, and private dining areas, complete with floor-to-ceiling looking out across the Dubai skyline.

This club lounge offers a private space for guests to relax and socialize whilst enjoying a host of exclusive benefits like check-in and check-out in the club lounge. Complimentary food and beverage offerings include breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and canapes served.

6. Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou

Located on the southeast and northwest corners of Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou, guests of club rooms enjoy access to the exclusive Oriental Club Lounge. Each club room’s bathroom boasts a large soaking bath and a glass-enclosed rainforest shower.

These elegant rooms offer sweeping views of the glittering city skyline. Stylishly decorated with an emphasis on contemporary comfort, rooms feature king beds swathed in sumptuous linens, working desks, and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows. Each room is entered via a private foyer, adjacent to which lies a convenient walk-in wardrobe where suitcases, clothes, and shopping can be stored.

The Oriental Club lounge is located on the 24th floor. Services include an exclusive, private environment where you can relax, work, or hold an informal meeting. This is also the best of the best lounges in Guangzhou if you don’t like heights, as this lounge is only 24 floors up.

This club lounge can be accessed by guests staying in our Club rooms and suites. The lounge offers a host of exclusive benefits, including private check-in, daily breakfast, selected beverages served all day, and light dinner.
