Unlike the five best Four Seasons Ski hotels, there are only two St. Regis ski hotels. One in Aspen and one in Deer Valley. If you want to expand your options under the Marriott Bonvoy umbrella, take a look at the three best Ritz-Carlton ski hotels, which are also incredible resorts.
If you want to spread your net wider, try the best Park Hyatt ski hotels. None of the branded ski hotels outlined above (with the exception of Four Seasons Megeve) are set in Europe. We have reviewed the best ski hotels in Europe separately in case you want to ski in the Alps. The best ski hotels here are family-owned and not part of a big brand. This list includes two of our favorite ski hotels in the world.
St. Regis is a high-end brand under the Marriott umbrella. It shares this elite spot with Ritz-Carlton, BVLGARI, EDITION, and The Luxury Collection. These brands occupy a 5-star luxury category, with room quality and size, service, restaurants, and the hotel as a whole offering an ultra-luxurious setting. This means that St. Regis is part of the Marriott brand loyalty program.
There are currently 61 St. Regis hotels. There are 11 in North America, 2 in Africa, 24 in Asia, 6 in Central America and the Caribbean, 6 in Europe, and 10 in the Middle East.
Here are the best St. Regis ski hotels. All are fantastic, and if you want free breakfast for two, a room upgrade (subject to availability), resort credit, and more don’t forget to book via our luxury travel concierge.
1. St. Regis Aspen Resort
St. Regis Aspen Resort is a Marriott Bonvoy hotel, a five-star luxury destination nestled in an imposing red brick building and situated at the base of Aspen Mountain. From here, you can enjoy world-class skiing or stroll over to historic Aspen, packed with luxury boutiques and restaurants.
The decor within the hotel is unique and immaculate. The Mountain Social bar area is a mass of chocolate hues with a long bar at one end and plenty of comfy seating set in nooks and by roaring fires. The main restaurants here have a sophisticated, formal feel. Velvet Buck presents modern mountain cuisine in a coffee-colored setting.
Remède Spa, their award-winning wellness destination, is renowned as one of the world’s premier hotel spas, while their heated outdoor pool and hot tubs overlook the stunning Aspen Mountain. Luxury rooms, suites, and residences are traditional in design. Each features sumptuous 400-thread-count Frette linens, spacious marble bathrooms, and custom furnishings by Ralph Lauren.
St. Regis Aspen is not a true ski-in/ski-out property. It’s only two blocks from the base of Aspen, and the hotel provides shuttles around Aspen in Cadillac Escalades. We’ve compared the best ski hotel in Aspen, Little Nell Vs. Jerome Vs. St Regis Vs. W Aspen to help you decide the best option in Aspen.
2. St. Regis Deer Valley
Unlike St. Regis Aspen Resort, The St. Regis Deer Valley offers direct slope access and sits as a castle of style standing alone on the slopes of the majestic Wasatch Mountains. The pillared entrance provides a taste of the luxury inside, and the natural stone foyer leads to restaurants offering amazing views across the snowy mountainside. This is the only resort in North America with a funicular offering true slopeside ski-in/ski-out access.
Deer Valley offers impeccably groomed slopes, and the hotel shares wonderful facilities with its guests, including a private ski beach, split-level infinity swimming pool with adjacent hot tubs, a huge 14,000 ft² spa, and family traditions and recreational activities at every turn. 168 luxurious guest rooms, including 64 spacious suites are modern with expansive mountain views.
Enjoy elevated cuisine at the newly opened RIME Seafood & Steak, offering a fresh take on land and sea classics sourcing fresh, sustainably caught seafood and the best local meats prepared by world-class chefs. Or just sit by a fire pit on the edge of the slopes and watch the snowflakes fall.
