Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the most inclusive luxury cruise ship experience, announced its new ship, Seven Seas Splendor, this week. Scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2020, the second Explorer-class ship will embody and enhance the elegance, style, and luxury first showcased in sister-ship, the Seven Seas Explorer which we reviewed and is renowned as the most luxurious ship ever built. The photos in the scroller above showcase the interior of the Seven Seas Explorer and it is safe to assume the Seven Seas Splendor will offer similar levels of luxury in its interiors.

As part of the naming process, Regent Seven Seas Cruises sought suggestions from its valued travel agents, loyal guests and employees for the ship’s name in a sweepstakes held in September. Seven Seas Splendor was chosen among nearly 2,600 unique names from more than 14,000 submissions.
The new all-suite, all-balcony ship will have a gross tonnage of 55,254 and a capacity of 750 guests.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is currently undergoing a $125 million USD fleetwide refurbishment that will elevate the level of elegance throughout the fleet to the standard that Seven Seas Explorer sets.
