Why Use A Club Lounge?

When deciding which hotel to choose for your stay in a city like Budapest, it is sensible to consider the added extras provided by a hotel club lounge. Offerings usually include complimentary drinks and snacks throughout the day, breakfast in the morning, and evening cocktails with canapés. Often the evening food and drink offering is more than enough to replace the need to go out for an evening meal.

Club or Executive hotel lounges also provide an enjoyable environment to work and relax. Some lounges also offer dedicated meeting rooms, although I find holding meetings in the main lounge more friendly. I’m not particularly eager to sit in restaurants alone when I travel for business. Room service is also a lonely affair, so a club lounge provides the ideal environment to enjoy good food and atmosphere while comfortably sitting at a table for one.

2. InterContinental Budapest

While the InterContinental Budapest is a rung below the Ritz-Carlton in terms of luxury but that is usually taken into account when considering the price. It is still a great hotel to choose if you are looking for a club lounge.

This club lounge is on the first floor of the InterContinental and offers large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Chain Bridge. The view is incredible and you can enjoy it from comfy sofas which are placed right by the windows. It provides a good breakfast and light bites in the afternoon and evening, along with a happy hour in every night with free alcoholic drinks. The Executive lounge at InterContinental Budapest definitely has the best views of the three lounges reviewed in this article.

3. Hilton Budapest Castle

The executive lounge at the Hilton Budapest offers amazing views across the city and of the Budapest Parliament which is lit up at night. The lounge is open from breakfast to 10:00 pm.
