Book A Hotel

I am often asked which are the best seats to choose on a flight, or in this case, what are the best Business Class or Club World seats on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner? This is a subjective question, but after much time spent studying the seating plan of the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (see seat map below), I have concluded the best and worst seats on this Dreamliner.

Please note the picture above is a stock photo of Business Class or Club World Seats on the British Airways A380 Airbus. I don’t expect the Business Class seats themselves to look very different on the 787-9 Dreamliner. I will confirm the look with my own pictures in a complete review of the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which I will release after an exclusive Luxury Travel Diary press tour in November, around the time of the first passenger flight.

There are just 42 Club World seats on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. They are located at the front of the plane directly behind the First Class seats in an intimate cabin of just 14 seats and then in a second larger Business Class cabin with 28 seats, separated from the intimate cabin by one exit door, 3 Business Class toilets, and four galley stations.

Both Club World cabins are set up in a 2-3-2 layout, so all the seats except the middle one in the center of the plane and the window seats have easy and direct access to the aisle. Access is not a major issue as mini corridors are behind and in front of the seats (see picture below), so you can squeeze into the aisle without too much of a problem. I think central seats labeled “E” remain some of the worst in both cabins. A and K have windows and are best for a view D, E, and F have the advantage of being in a 3 in a herringbone pattern if you are traveling as a family.

It is worth noting that the intimate cabin further towards the front of the plane is the one to pick as much of the main Business Class Cabin looks over the wing.

Best Business Class seats on British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner?

I think Seats 6A 6K, & 7L are the best Business Class seats on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner if you like a view, although it is worth noting that all window A and K business class seats face backward. If you like to have access to the Aisle and prefer facing towards the front, 6B, 6J & 7J are great seats because you are not near the toilets and are in the intimate front cabin.

Worst Business Class or Club World seats on British Airways Dreamliner?

For me, the middle seats are comparatively bad Club World seats as they have no window and are slightly more difficult to access. This includes all E seats in the larger cabin, particularly E10, E11, E12 & E13. Probably the worst Business Class or Club World seat on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is the aisle seat 10J because you have very little privacy and are looking directly onto 2 toilet doors. 10F also has this problem but is set slightly further back. Both are my least favorite seats in Business Class on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
