Seven Seas Explorer is arguably the world’s most luxurious cruise ship, and we review it in more detail below. Seven Seas Explorer delivers an unrivaled luxury cruise experience. The ship features extravagantly designed theaters and lounges, an unparalleled collection of opulent and spacious suites, five lavish gourmet restaurants, and an unprecedented level of personalized service.
At 55,254 gross-registered tons and carrying only 750 guests, the all-suite, all-balcony ship boasts one of the highest space ratios and lowest crew-to-guest ratios in the cruise industry, not to mention the largest private verandas in the cruise industry and a new category of luxury suite, the nearly 4,500 ft² Regent Suite.
Tillberg Design has created a beautiful outdoor haven where guests can enjoy an assortment of recreational activities, relax while taking in breathtaking panoramic vistas, or delight in gourmet al fresco dining. Drawing inspiration from high-end pool retreats at exclusive boutique hotels, with a fusion of Southeast Asian design elements and Caribbean accents, the Deck 11 oasis on Seven Seas Explorer provides an intimate setting for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying the ever-changing vistas. With rich teak, natural stone, and luxurious marble, the geometrical design of the ship’s centerpiece pool evokes a welcoming, modern feel.
The pool provides the perfect respite for guests seeking a refreshing swim and offers an expansive 3-inch deep shallow section for guests looking to cool off by dipping their toes in the water poolside. Paying homage to the ocean, sea-inspired ceramic tiles line the pool. At the end nearest the Pool Grill, shaded under contemporary circular overhangs, are two hot tubs perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Sheer curtains impart a level of intimacy around the pool, creating secluded, private escapes where guests can relax. Stylish double loungers, some perched on raised platforms, enhance the elegant design, with a center stage that creates the perfect venue for special poolside musical performances. Adjacent to the pool area, guests can enjoy al fresco-covered dining or grab a bite to go at the Pool Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch, snacks, sweets, and refreshing drinks. In the evening, an array of lighting effects help set the mood for any occasion, whether it’s bringing the deck alive by infusing light on the glowing azure pool for a colorful celebration or using backlit canvases to produce a more serene, romantic evening retreat.
For more active guests, the Sports and Sun-Deck offers deck shuffleboard, putting greens, golf nets, bocce court, paddle tennis, and a jogging track. The sun deck has inviting circular loungers where guests can feel the ocean breezes and unwind.
Other features and amenities aboard Seven Seas Explorer include:

The privileges of booking the Regent Suite extend beyond its doors. Inclusive amenities to those booking this suite include a private car with driver and guide in every port, free unlimited laundry and pressing, business and first-class air, as well as limousine transfer to and from the airport.
Three distinct specialty restaurants – Open exclusively for dinner, Prime 7 is one of three distinct specialty restaurants on Seven Seas Explorer available for guests’ epicurean pleasures imposing no surcharge to dine at any of the specialty restaurants. The two new specialty venues are:
Chartreuse – a tantalizing new gourmet French specialty restaurant featuring a classic French menu with dishes expertly prepared using both classic and modern techniques for a multiple-course celebration of French gastronomy. Evoking memories of a chic Parisian fine dining restaurant, this is the perfect respite for guests to enjoy an apéritif, including specialty cocktails infused with the French liqueur Chartreuse. The design team at ICRAVE responsible for this sophisticated French restaurant left no detail unattended, including a silver-leafed ceiling that is interspersed with dramatic gold-bordered black lacquered lines to complete the elegant Parisian motif and a decorative iron sculpting throughout the bar pays a graceful and subtle homage to Paris’ iconic Eiffel Tower.
Pacific Rim – celebrating the culinary traditions of Asia, Pacific Rim will be yet another historical first for guests to experience, featuring a diverse array of delightfully prepared pan-Asian dishes to be savored in an elegant dining room whose design takes inspirational cues from a variety of Asian cultures such as a Tibetan prayer wheel, contemporary lotus inspired windows, traditional Japanese rain chains, and custom Chinese screens all melded harmoniously together for a truly remarkable culinary experience.
Culinary Arts Kitchen – Regent’s first culinary instruction center will provide guests with all the ingredients to expand their culinary skills in a welcoming environment reminiscent of the most prestigious cooking schools in France in both layout and design. The culinary workstations are fully equipped with top-of-the-line induction cooktops, stainless steel sinks, and a comprehensive collection of additional cooking essentials and offer more than a dozen unique classes covering a wide array of topics, including healthy cooking, fish and shellfish preparation, perfect food and wine pairings for entertaining, delectable mini-desserts, high-heat grilling, and classes inspired by the destinations visited by the ship.
Canyon Ranch SpaClub® & Infinity Pool – the lavishly appointed, state-of-the-art spa featuring an infrared sauna, aromatic steam room, and the cold room will debut together with a selection of exclusive ultra-luxurious treatments developed by Canyon Ranch in partnership with lifestyle and beauty experts, Red Flower®. On a private outdoor deck, guests will find an inviting teak-deck terrace filled with plush lounge chairs that surround a beautiful infinity-edged plunge pool contouring the stern of the ship for magnificent views across the horizon.
