Book A Hotel

If you want to stay in luxury in Siem Reap or Phnom Penh in Cambodia, if budget allows, you should consider staying at one of the best spa hotels and use your stay to find wellness as well as to explore. Spa hotels in Cambodia will indulge your body. This spiritual country will help your mind reach the well-being state you are after.

Siem Reap has reinvented itself as the epicenter of chic Cambodia, with everything from backpacker party pads to hip hotels, world-class wining and dining across a range of cuisines, sumptuous spas, great shopping, local tours to suit both foodies and adventurers, and a creative cultural scene that includes Cambodia’s leading contemporary circus. Visitors come to Siem Reap to see the temples, but the Spas here are second to none, and there is plenty to do in and around the city when you’re templed out.

You definitely want to visit Siem Reap and Angkor in the dry season, which falls between late November and early April. The nicest months weather-wise are December and January, when there’s the least rainfall and temperatures are slightly cooler. Of course, these also bring the most visitors, and the temples can be packed, so going very slightly out of peak season can be a good thing.

1. Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh

Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh is the newest five-star luxury hotel set right in the heart of the historical and modern capital of Phnom Penh in Cambodia. This new hotel is both immaculate and elegant, and the fantastic pool takes your mind on a journey away from the city and over to the coast.

The Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh is walkable to the nearby Royal Palace, National Museum, and The Riverside and is equally convenient for the city’s business center. You won’t find a better located hotel in Phnom Penh. If you are flying in, the airport is just 30-minutes drive from the hotel, and travel around the city is easy by hotel limousine, taxi, or tuk-tuk.

If you read any reviews about this hotel, the overriding opinion is that this ultra-modern hotel is pristine with brilliant staff. The look is very “Hyatt” with a modern interior decorated in chocolate tones. In line with the modern architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows share wonderful city views and let in loads of light.

For us, the pool is an absolute highlight. Wooden loungers with white cushions laze on the wooden decking surrounded by greenery and shaded by parasols. This might be the nicest place to relax in the whole of Phnom Penh, and the greenery transports guests to a peaceful location away from the stress and noise of the city.

Beyond the pool are nine multi-functional meeting and event spaces, a 24/7 fitness center with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, the exclusive Regency Club lounge, and a brilliant Spa. The beautiful Jivapita Spa, an urban hideaway and contemporary retreat right in the city’s heart, offers a truly authentic Cambodian experience.

Treatments include the Jivapita Signature Massage, which lasts 90 minutes. Jivapita Signature tells a story from various parts of the world where ancient healing takes place. Each journey begins with audio therapy and tranquility touch. Surrender yourself to the gentle caress of Spa artisans who will take you to different parts of the world from Balinese soothing rub, Thai energizing stroke, Oriental deep acupressure, and the gentle rocking of Mediterranean waves that lull you into a state of holistic repose.

2. Park Hyatt Siem Reap

Park Hyatt Siem Reap is a wonderful hotel that one of our reporters visited a few years ago. It was so good that they keep returning!

The hotel is designed around a perfect Banyan tree, which is the centerpiece of this elegant oasis of sophistication amid the hustle and bustle of downtown Siem Reap. Small birds hop to and fro, pecking for ants around the pool as women in broad-brimmed hats slowly sweep away the few fallen leaves.

If you’re a European or North American, Siem Reap is definitely otherworldly. Most people who come here do so for one purpose. To visit the largest religious site ever constructed by humankind. Just 15 minutes from the hotel by motorcycle tuk-tuk, Angkor was in the 11th century the world’s largest city. One in a thousand of all human beings alive lived here then. It was the capital of a mighty kingdom unknown to the western world until French archaeologist Mouhot started to map it and cut back the forests which had overgrown its beautiful temples. Over a thousand temples have since been identified. There is much, much more to Siem Reap than temples, though. Wonderful restaurants, the most amazing, intimate circus troupe, vibrant markets, and even a crazy golf course.

The Spa is a luxury oasis overlooking the city center of Siem Reap. The Spa offers a peaceful retreat for you to have the ultimate wellness experience. Embracing fluidity and grace, The Spa offers an authentic Cambodian experience with contemporary flair.

Explore the plush amenities at The Spa, including a 24-hour fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, steam room, and luxury relaxation room. Before your appointment begins, the spa team will provide you with a consultation to determine your best treatment regimen.
