Book A Stay

Yayaki Spetses is the first luxury vegetarian guest house-boutique hotel on Spetses island and is nestled in a quiet yet central part of town.

Location

Located off the coast of the Peloponnese region of Southern Greece, in the Saronic gulf, lies Spetses, a small island in the Myrtoan Sea. This pretty and unique little gem of an island is pedestrian-friendly with only a few cars, no big roads, no tour buses, and no airport.

Just a two hours ferry ride from Athens, Spetses island is considered an upmarket island escape by locals who live in Athens. The elegant Venetian mansions of the main town on Spetses give the island a classy feel. Beyond the town, you will find secluded beaches, yacht marinas, restaurants, and sophisticated boutique hotels.

The hotel is perfectly located, in a quiet street, right in between the nearest beach “Agios Mamas” and Dapia, both five minutes walk away.

Style & Character

Yayaki is as unique as the island itself. This luxury, vegetarian, boutique hotel has been designed in the style of an authentic Spetsiotis house with romantic balconies and bright bougainvillea’s climbing the walls.

The owners Hannah and Karl have thoughtfully curated a contemporary oasis of laid-back sophistication and casual chic that is warm and welcoming. The entrance is grand, through a big wooden door, set within a traditional Spetsiotis-style building.

The hotel features fifteen bedrooms, all set on a quiet street, just five minutes’ walk from both the village of Dapia, and the nearest beach: Agios Mama.

Most guests travel to the hotel by foot, horse and carriage, or by bike, allowing them to really disconnect from the fast pace of their usual life at home.

Service & Facilities

The hotel also features a pool and deck area, yoga studio, lounge, library, open-plan kitchen, and reception areas, as well as personalized service, paying attention to even the smallest details that truly make a difference.

Rooms

The house is divided into two buildings, with the pool and its surrounding wooden deck, in the middle. The main house is where you will find most of the bedrooms and the yoga studio, and in the smaller detached house, the lounge, the library, the open-plan kitchen, and reception areas. Attention to detail is evident throughout.

The hotel has two suites, the most luxurious of the Yayaki Spetses rooms. The Panorama Suite is located on the first floor of the main house and has a large private terrace, the same size as the interior of the room, offering a 180 degree view of the mountains, the pool, and the Myrtoan sea.

The Yayaki Suite is located on the first floor of the little house and offers an extra sense of intimacy thanks to its private entrance, through its own terrace.

The Deluxe Balcony Rooms are located in the main house, on the second floor. Like in a family home, each one has its own personality. These rooms benefit from a traditional balcony, which adds a romantic touch. You will enjoy the view of the pool and the flowery bougainvillea, as well as all the comfort and facilities needed for the duration of your stay in Spetses.

The Deluxe Rooms are located in the main house, on the first floor, and offer a view of the pool and the pretty greenery. The interior and decorations were inspired by nature’s vibrant energies, the Myrtoan Sea, colorful summer skies, and warm sunsets.

All rooms include a separate bathroom with an Italian shower and OLIVE ERA luxury amenities, open closets, a desk, a double bed with COCO-MAT mattresses made in Greece, and a relaxing lounge area.

Food & Drink

The breakfast at Yayaki is delicious and fresh. It is served under the pergola and produce is local, seasonal, organic, homemade, and vegetarian-only. The atmosphere here makes you want to linger over a second cup of coffee, just soaking in your surroundings.

An all-day selection of homemade snacks is available at the Yayaki Bar. While homemade picnic baskets and snack packages to take-away are also available upon request.

This beautiful Greek hideaway and home-from-home chooses to be far from the bling of other Mediterranean destinations. Instead, it offers contemporary accommodations and décor and all the modern comforts you could need, all set in a most relaxed atmosphere. You’ll wish you had booked a longer stay!
