Some of the best hotels in the world are Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts but there is no Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Paris, instead you might want to pick one of the best Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Paris.

We have already reviewed the hotel with the best club lounges in Paris and the best luxury hotels with pools in Paris.

So Where Should I Stay?

There’s no Ritz-Carlton in Paris, and there’s no St Regis in Paris either. Still, there are excellent Luxury Collection Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Paris as well as an excellent W. Our luxury travel concierge offers free benefits at all of these luxury Marriott hotels.

We also provide free perks at the Ritz Paris. Unlike the name suggests, this is not a Ritz-Carlton hotel and is not part of the Marriott Bonvoy brand. I have purely highlighted this hotel as it is a superb hotel with a confusingly similar name to Ritz-Carlton.

Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Paris is definitely one of the best Marriott hotels in Paris. It offers a Pierre-Yves Rochon-designed hotel experience and embraces the art deco and glamor of the 1920s.

Prince de Galles is located in the extremely smart Eighth Arrondissement of Paris. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is posh, and this hotel is in fine company with plenty of other equally luxurious hotels in the vicinity. Stay here, and you will find yourself next door to the ultra-luxury Four Seasons Hotel George V, as well as high-end boutiques and trendy restaurants. Just a few steps from the hotel is the iconic Champs-Elysée, and the Arc de Triomphe is about a 10-minute walk away, with the Eiffel Tower being around 20 minutes away on foot.

Rooms and suites are immaculately designed and appointed with home-like comforts; many offer sweeping views of the Paris skyline. While the base rooms are fairly small for a luxury hotel, the art deco theme is continued in the rooms with lots of mirrors colors and deco detailing, so you do feel like you are in glamorous Paris rather than in a generic hotel room.

The property has two restaurants, Bar Les Heures and Le Patio. Le Patio is particularly lovely and is located in a central courtyard offering palm trees and a decked terrace. Because this terrace is open air, this is a massive highlight if you visit Paris in the warmer season from late spring through to early fall.

Within the hotel, there is also a high-quality gym and a spa known as the Wellness Suite by Olivier Lecocq. The spa also features a hammam.

Another great luxury hotel option is the Ritz Paris which has been freshly restored. Its grand décor and intimate salons welcome guests to rediscover a unique atmosphere and the inimitable French art de Vivre. The Ritz Paris is renowned for its incomparable savoir-faire in making every visit exceptional, from Haute Cuisine by Chef Nicolas Sale to custom cocktails at the Bar Hemingway and indulgent beauty treatments at the exclusive new art of skincare area, “CHANEL au Ritz Paris”.

A favorite destination among the famous and influential, the Ritz Paris has faithfully restored the signature decors of celebrated guests in its Prestige Suites. Marcel Proust, Frédéric Chopin, Coco Chanel, and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor all opted for furnishings that reflected their personality, a décor of absolute sophistication and the tranquility of a sweeping view over the Place Vendôme.

The Gallery of the Ritz Paris runs through the heart of the hotel and connects the legendary place, Vendôme to the very chic rue Cambon. An essential feature of the hotel, this architectural treasure faces the Grand Jardin and is bathed in light by day. The new Gallery of the Ritz Paris features five boutiques, 95 shop windows, and the Concept Store.

The Ritz Paris has been awarded Michelin stars for two restaurants: La Table de L’Espadon, for dinner every night, two stars Michelin (Chef Nicolas Sale) and Les Jardins de L’Espadon, for lunch from Monday to Saturday, one-star Michelin (Chef Nicolas Sale)

The Ritz Club Paris has a celebrated Ritz pool, fitness facilities and the new area “CHANEL au Ritz Paris” offering deeply indulgent, restorative moments of relaxation. The pool itself is quite formal in design, deep blue with cream pillars and murals on the wall. Swim a few laps, participate in an aqua gym or water biking class and watch as ripples of celadon become tinged with azure.

You can see the pool from the bar or simply gaze at the rippling blue waters from the bar over a cocktail.
