Which are the best Marriott Bonvoy hotels and resorts with executive club lounges in Alabama: Birmingham, Florence, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Auburn, Opelika, and Point Clear? There’s plenty of choice within the Marriott brand, including top brands like the Luxury Collection, EDITION, St Regis, W Hotels, and JW Marriott, as well as mid-range brands like their Autograph Collection, Renaissance, Sheraton, Le Meridien, Design Hotels, and their Westin collections.

Ritz-Carlton hotels are often some of the best Marriott Bonvoy hotels in an area. They also tend to offer the best club lounges. While there are some truly gorgeous Ritz-Carlton hotels, there isn’t one in Alabama.

We have already reviewed the best hotel executive club lounges in Birmingham Alabama, now we look, in no particular order, at the best Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Alabama.

Alabama is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. It is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west. While it is not a popular holiday destination, there are plenty of Marriott, Hyatt, and Hilton hotels to choose from in the major cities of Birmingham, Huntsville, Florence, Mobile, Alabama, and Montgomery.

1. Birmingham Marriott Hotel

Birmingham Marriott Hotel is a Marriott Bonvoy Rewards Category 5 hotel with elegant accommodation, superb service, and a convenient city-center location. Enjoy easy access from this hotel to a host of renowned landmarks, such as Broad Street, Cadbury World, Arena Birmingham, and the ICC.

Relax and unwind in one of their spacious and inviting hotel rooms, which include plush pillowtop bedding, a flat-screen TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour in-room dining, and more. After a busy day, visit the leisure club and make use of the fully-equipped gym, modern spa, and heated indoor pool. Sip craft beers and savor classic favorites at Brew Bar Lounge, the signature restaurant and cocktail bar.

The executive club lounge at the Birmingham Marriott offers breakfast and evening drinks and canapes. On weekends, the lounge is closed so you take full breakfast in the hotel’s main restaurant.

Other Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Birmingham include the Elyton Hotel, Autograph Collection, but this doesn’t have a club lounge. The Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa does not have a club lounge either nor does Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook, Autograph Collection, the Huntsville Westin, and the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa. The Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel & Conf Ctr at Capitol Hill has no club lounge either.

Beyond Birmingham, Alabama, there is the Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa with a club lounge, the Huntsville Marriott with its M Lounge, Mobile Marriott, Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel, Montgomery Renaissance Hotel & Spa, The Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa, all of which have executive club lounges which are open during the week but are closed on weekends.

2. Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa

Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa is a resort with an unbeatable location in Muscle Shoals, an area of vibrant music history. Explore where Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, and Bob Dylan recorded some of their hits. This hotel is also moments away from the University of North Alabama and Wilson Lake.

Renew your body and mind at the on-site spa, where you can indulge in massages and facials. Bring relaxation to completion in the stylish rooms and suites. Dine at 360 Grille, the revolving restaurant. For a more casual meal, visit Swampers Bar and Grille or make a splash at the indoor and outdoor pool.

3. Marriott at the Space & Rocket Center

Marriott at the Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL is an ideal base for visiting the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Museum, Space Camp, Davidson Center or NASA Training Facility. This is the only hotel on the property. Redstone Arsenal and Marshall Space Flight Center is just next door and Cummings Research Park is also nearby.

The new Great Room provides food, beverage, and gathering places for colleagues and families. Rooms feature down-filled duvets and pillows. Guests stay fit in the outdoor heated pool while the large fitness center is popular. The renowned Bridge Street Towne Center is also nearby as well as the 112-acre Botanical Garden, Von Braun Center, EarlyWorks Museums, and Huntsville Museum of Art.

There is an executive club M Lounge, at this Marriott, which is open during the week and closed on weekends and holidays. Premium Marriott Bonvoy members get free breakfast at the restaurant on weekends when the lounge is closed.

There is also a Four Points in Huntsville, but this is not one of the best Marriott Bonvoy hotels in the area.

4. Westin Huntsville

The Westin Huntsville offers convenient access to several of the city’s most beloved attractions, such as Huntsville Botanical Garden, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and Southern Adventures amusement park.

Spacious accommodations feature a variety of luxurious amenities meant to maintain your well-being, including complimentary Wi-Fi, pillowtop mattresses, and marble bathrooms. Visit Sage Grill, their on-site restaurant, when you want a delicious meal without ever having to leave the comfort of our hotel. At the end of the day, enjoy a nightcap from Sage Bar. It is worth noting that this Marriott Bonvoy hotel does not have a club lounge.

If you’re hoping to stay in shape during your trip, take a lap in the heated indoor/outdoor pool or lift weights in the 24-hour fitness center, featuring free weights and cardio equipment.

5. Renaissance Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center

The Renaissance Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center is adjacent to the Montgomery Performing Arts Center, with an unbeatable downtown location near Maxwell Air Force Base and Alabama State University.

Pamper yourself at their full-service spa, offering renewing massages, facials, and pedicures. Rooms have high-speed Wi-Fi, plush bedding, and room service. Dine at The House, offering delicious American cuisine. Stop by The Exchange during dinner to sip on a refreshing cocktail. You can also enjoy a swim at the rooftop pool and fitness center.

6. The Battle House Renaissance

Both Renaissance hotels in Mobile are excellent. If this is your first trip to Mobile, try the Battle House Renaissance. The lobby is rather special with a muraled dome. The rooms are excellent here too.

It is located in the heart of downtown, near an array of attractions such as the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, Mobile Civic Center, and Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal. They have a full-service spa, three on-site restaurants, and a rooftop pool as well as a tennis court.

There is an executive club lounge at this Marriott, which is open during the week and closed on weekends and holidays except for breakfast. You can enjoy continental breakfast in the lounge on weekends, after which, it shuts.

7. Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel

As mentioned above, Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel offers a connection to the Mobile Convention Center via a sky bridge. With 15 modern event spaces and a location in downtown Mobile, Alabama, this is an ideal convention hotel. The rooms also have excellent views at this hotel.

If you are staying for leisure, you can visit historic destinations such as the USS Alabama and can easily access the John A. Campbell U.S. Courthouse. Within the hotel, dine at The Harbor Room or enjoy a signature cocktail, live music, and outdoor seating at Fathoms Lounge.

There is an executive club lounge at this Marriott which is open during the week and the weekends. It has excellent food including breakfast, light dinner, and dessert.

8. Mobile Marriott Hotel

The Mobile Marriott hotel in Mobile, Alabama is a fairly basic Marriott hotel located at the center of Alabama’s shopping and entertainment district. The hotel is only 7 miles from the Mobile Regional Airport and across from Colonial Bel Air Mall.

With 200 hotel rooms, the new Sage Restaurant, and 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, this hotel is ideal for business or for pleasure.
