Location

The resort is tucked away down a quiet back street away from the fabulous hustle and bustle so you can escape the wonders of the town and rest and recharge. Luckily, you are still near enough to take advantage of all the Siem Reap and Angkor have to offer. You are within walking distance of most of the tourist spots in Siem Reap, including the Night Market, Bakeries and Coffee Shops, Pub Street, Siem Reap Old Market area, and a huge choice of restaurants. Alternatively, a 10-minute tuk-tuk will bring you right to the center. It’s also ideally located to visit the ruins of Angkor Wat temple too and this time a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride and you’re there.

Best Time To Visit

You definitely want to visit Siem Reap and Angkor in the dry season which falls between late November and early April. The nicest months weather-wise are December and January when there’s the least rainfall and temperatures are slightly cooler but of course, these also bring the most visitors and the temples can be packed so going very slightly out of peak season can be a good thing.

How To Get There

It’s very convenient to get to Siem Reap as it has its own airport; Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport. You can fly into here directly from Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai in China, or Kuala Lumpur. From the airport, it is 8kms from the heart of Siem Reap and takes around 15 minutes by taxi to reach the center. The hotel offers a complimentary airport pickup service to make things even easier.

Style & Character

The resort manages to be both minimalist yet bursting with color; to be contemporary yet also quintessentially Cambodian. The furnishings are achingly stylish, huge stunning artworks by local artists adorn the walls and there’s a nod to the retro vibe too.

Service & Facilities

The one thing you will want to do when you return from a wonderfully hot and dusty day in Siem Reap or Angkor is hit the pool! And at Solitaire Kamreuk Resort you have a beautifully serene saltwater swimming pool surrounded by a vast upper deck lined with comfortable and private outdoor Salas; bliss. There’s also a romantic rooftop space, ideal for mediating or even a memorable meal for two. There is also a small spa where they understand much about aching limbs and a Khmer Traditional Massage will prepare you perfectly for more exploring.

The local staff are excellent; so friendly and welcoming and speak impressive English.

Rooms

The luxurious Suites have everything that you expect with luxury travel; air conditioning, a seating area, high-speed internet, 24-hour room service, parking, etc. There are just 16 Suites so it feels really intimate and means each of the rooms are huge! If you are traveling with children, the Family Suite will be perfect. Otherwise, your choice is a garden view and a large balcony or a ground floor room which looks out directly over the patio, with a large patio area and even better a garden at the back where you will find your bathtub – this Suite would definitely get my vote!

Food & Drink

The resort has its own small restaurant; Prum Restaurant which is located in the lobby area and open throughout the day. The menu includes a good choice of both International dishes and Khmer specialties. There’s also the Prum Bar which is super convenient for a refreshing cocktail, a glass of wine, or even a fruit shake when you return from your day sightseeing.

We love this hotel for its warm welcome, excellent Siem Reap location, and charming boutique services.
