Book A Stay

It always feels like Christmas has come early when I discover a brand new, stunning resort – and that’s exactly how I felt when I stumbled across the 5-star ELIVI SKIATHOS resort which lies on the beautiful Greek island of Skiathos.

Location

The resort is located just 12km from the port of Skiathos Town on the beautiful emerald island of the Skiathos which is part of the Sporades archipelago, in a protected nature paradise that spreads over a vast 213 acres. The resort commands a dreamy beachfront spot overlooking Koukounaries Beach; think endless Aegean sunshine with a lovely cooling sea breeze. It is also embraced by the protected Black Swan Wetland and has direct access to the famous Big Banana and Little Banana Beaches. You are just 14km from the airport and transfers are complimentary so the resort is super accessible.

Style & Character

The architecture was designed with the lush vegetation and turquoise waters that surround the resort as its inspiration. The gorgeous guest rooms resemble chic beach shacks and look both totally in keeping with the environment and stunningly luxurious. Your surroundings add so much to the experience of staying here; the natural environment is very much respected and celebrated. There is a sophisticated 1960s vibe to the hotel which can be felt in some of the communal areas, bars and pools, it’s subtle but very nicely realised.

Service & Facilities

There’s not one but two stunning outdoor swimming pools; an impressive 200m2 lagoon pool tucked amongst the pine trees and olives groves, the other overlooks the sea and has a funky, retro kind of vibe with cool tunes making it the perfect place for an afternoon chill. The other fabulous facilities include a sports ground with a tennis court, an outdoor gym, personal trainer service and a basketball court; after making use of all that you’ll definitely deserve some relaxation time at the gorgeous Elemis Spa with its indoor pool, hammam and sauna. The staff are exceptional; polite, friendly and very helpful.

Rooms

The guest rooms are located in three different areas so you make your accommodation choice depending very much on where you want to be. ELIVI Xenia Hotel has 32 rooms on the hilltop, 11 rooms are set right on the beachfront in ELIVI Grace Rooms & Suites and ELIVI Nest Rooms, Villas & Suites, tucked between those pine trees and olive groves, consists of 19 independent residences with 67 separate guest rooms. All the guest rooms have balconies or terraces and several have breath-taking sea views, make sure yours does! An upgrade for a private pool or outdoor hot tub is well worth it. My personal favourite would be the heavenly Beachfront Suites at ELIVI Grace Rooms & Suites but really you can’t go wrong, they are all lovely spaces.

Food & Drink

You have lots of delicious options for dining; breakfast and lunch at beautiful Xenia Restaurant with amazing sea views and by day there are five Beach and Pool Bars spread around the various beaches and pools! If you’re in the mood for fish, head to Nest Pool Bar & Restaurant, a traditional fish tavern which serves a range of exquisite seafood. Fine dining with an eclectic blend of the finest Mediterranean and international dishes is served at the stunning Leda and the Swan Restaurant. And for cocktails, beverages and wines, you are spoilt for choice; there beach and pool bars are excellent and there’s also a bar at the main hotel too.
