Review: Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort

Book A Stay

The elegant beachfront resort of Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort in Indonesia seems to be a demonstration of luxury travel at its finest; the stunning island of Bali surrounds you, the pool is beautiful, the suites (and it’s all suites) are havens of design and tranquillity and there’s a chic rooftop restaurant with to-die-for sunset views.

The multi award-winning resort lies close to the buzzing centre of Seminyak Beach, Bali’s most luxurious beach, but despite this excellent shoreline location, there is an air of exclusivity and of privacy. You are 11 km from Bandar Udara Internasional Ngurah Rai Airport.

Style & Character

Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort is ultra-luxurious and oozes cosmopolitan charm. The exquisite interiors feature sleek wooden floors and soft lighting, they manage to be totally contemporary but also pay a deep respect to a rich Balinese heritage. The resort is set in immaculately landscaped gardens that are perfect for an early-morning stroll soaking up the stunning Indian Ocean views.

Service & Facilities

There are three pools overlooking the Indian Ocean, one is infinity-edged and you can also enjoy a number of popular water sports and activities. There’s a fitness centre to work off those amazing Balinese meals or if you’re muscles are already aching after an adventurous day exploring Bali; book a signature spa treatment which uses special long pressure treatments and locally produced oils at Bali’s first Anantara Spa. The resort also offers guest a range of experiences: take an interactive Balinese cooking class or how about wine tasting at the Rooftop Wine Room. You can learn to ride the waves with expert surfing instructors, go kite flying and cultural and nature excursions can be arranged too.

The Balinese hospitality wins out again at the resort; the staff are welcoming, extremely helpful and go out of their way to give you a wonderful stay.

There are 59 Suites and 1 Penthouse. While it can’t be avoided that the two-bedroom Penthouse is absolutely stunning, fear not if your budget doesn’t quite stretch this far; the Suites are also totally divine spaces. You have a private sunken Jacuzzi built for two, a king size bed wrapped in the finest linens, and all the luxury amenities that you could hope for. Your private balcony is the place of dreams. Sunbathe on your lounger by day and relax as the day ends with the sounds of the rolling waves and the sight of the mesmerising sunsets. Upgrade for direct pool access or the most fabulous Ocean views, both are highly recommended; your only issue is choosing between them!

Food & Drink

There are two restaurants at the resort: S.O.S. Sunset on Seminyak, is your perfect relaxed beachside destination for a lazy lunch, then head to the stunning MoonLite Kitchen and Bar on the rooftop for an Asian-inspired dinner, cocktails and sunset views. There is also the beautifully named option of Dining By Design, where you dine intimately at an exclusive private setting of your choice around the resort; unforgettable. You can also choose to dine in the comfort and privacy of your private terrace.
