This is exactly what you can experience at The Forge which offers a unique glamping experience surrounded by the stunning North Wales countryside.

Location

The Forge is perfectly located in Corwen in the wild Welsh countryside with Snowdonia National Park just a 15-minute drive away. There’s much to explore and do in the area; some of the best walking and running trails in Wales surround the site or if you’re really seeking an adrenaline hit, then mountain biking, rafting, zip wires, kite surfing and rock climbing are also available within an hour’s drive, or you can even learn specialist bushcraft and survival skills onsite. You are less than an hour from the M6, M56 and M54 motorways and under half an hour from a mainline train station which has direct routes to London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.

Style & Character

There are three luxury bell tents on the large glamping field. The field itself is totally enclosed and safe for children to run around and play. The tents back onto woodland so you feel totally private and peaceful. There’s also a communal campfire area on the site’s own Iron Age hill fort; the perfect place to watch the sun set and get in some quality star gazing time.

Service & Facilities

You bell tent stands proudly on its own wooden deck with a well-appointed camp kitchen and a charming balcony space for relaxing and gazing at the view. You have your own composting toilet and even better, hot showers are just a short stroll across the field. You also have your own fire pit, perfect for sizzling bacon as the sun rises and toasting marshmallows as it sets. You are given a bag of logs to get you started and can even get campfire cooking tips from the resident expert! Your hosts are rather wonderful too; there when you need them and happy to advise on the local area that they know so well but leave you totally to it when you just need a bit of privacy.

Rooms

The three bell tents are named Arenig, Idris and Liberty. Each has a slightly different view and a slightly different styled balcony but they all sleep four across a double bed and two single beds. This is luxury glamping so the bell tents are carpeted throughout and you have plenty of snuggly blankets and cushions to make it super cosy. If you are travelling with little ones they are happy to provide travel cots and high chairs to make your life that little bit easier.

Food & Drink

Your camp kitchen includes everything you need to cook a basic meal including a gas hob and that vital bottle opener! Ask your hosts to provide their welcome hamper, it’s packed with goodies from their farm including freshly laid eggs from their chickens and delicious local traditional cakes. If you want to venture off site and let someone else do the hard work, ask your hosts for their tips on the very best local pubs and they’ll be more than happy to oblige.
