Book A Stay

For a visit to the heady and wonderful world of Marrakech in Morocco a stay in an authentic riad is an essential part of the experience; look no further than the chic Riad Papillion.

Location

The boutique hotel is situated in the trendy antique district of Marrakech, near Pacha Glaoui Palace. When you stay in Marrakech, your perfect location has to be the bustling old town Medina; packed with it’s colourful souq markets and itself a Unesco World Heritage site. This hotel is in the heart of the medina, a mere 8-minute stroll from Jemaa el Fna Square and is the perfect antidote to the crazy world outside; a cool and tranquil gem.

Style & Character

The guest rooms make you feel right at home Moroccan-style, they are beautifully and traditionally decorated with elegant wooden doors and all have a lovely view of the patio on the ground floor. The hotel was recently renovated and has all the modern facilities that you might need, it’s also immaculate.

Service & Facilities

The facilities here do much to relax you and chill you out after a fabulous day bartering in the souqs; so, sip complimentary mint tea in the traditional ‘Bhou’ sitting room, enjoy some shade on the colourful ground floor interior patio with its traditional fountain, escape the heat in the zelige-tiled plunge pool and while away a summers evening reclining on the stunning atmospheric roof terrace, complete with barbecue and sun-loungers.

Your hosts are kind, incredibly helpful (they give you an invaluable free guide app as well as a local phone so you can reach them anytime!) and go out of their way to make your stay in Marrakech a special one.

Rooms

There are just five beautiful rooms at Riad Papillion all named after native flowers. The guest rooms all include an ensuite shower room and your typical luxury travel amenities (mini fridge, personal safe, flat screen TV with satellite channels, complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning) plus some wonderful features that you might not expect – walls that are three feet thick and gorgeous 300 count Egyptian cotton bedding! The rooms all have a slightly different vibe and its very much personal taste which one you fall for; some have balconies and one has an additional single bed.

Food & Drink

Breakfast here is a treat; a traditional Moroccan breakfast which can be served whenever you desire – another example of the wonderfully flexible service you receive. Your breakfast location is that roof terrace, giving you a stunning panoramic view to start your day. There’s a great choice of restaurants in the surrounding area but sometimes it’s extra relaxing to just dine in your hotel; simply make your reservation and a delicious evening meal individually prepared to your taste and dietary requirements will be created just for you.
